Having a drink at 7pm on a Thursday, waiting around for most restaurants to open, and caught the owner setting Revuelo up for the evening. Asked when he was opening, and he offered to take us in there and then. Perfecto.
Revuelo is slightly different to most tapas restaurants in La Linea, with each dish designed for sharing and the portions therefore ranging in size. Alejandro then brought out the handwritten menu and talked us through every item and the ever-changing specials, letting us know everything is ordered in and cooked fresh.
We had the Chorizo Infierno, lit on fire in front of us, Padron Peppers, and Bacon & Bechamel Croquetas from the Entrantes section, along with Papa’s Revuelo – home cooked chips topped with a wonderful creamy aioli and giant garlic prawns. Delicious. Left a little room for an Empañada each, a shared Brownie for dessert plus a free local liquor to finish.
We then asked if we could book in again for a week’s time, which wasn’t a problem at all. Then he gave us his contact details and asked us to get in touch if we wanted anything specifically ordered in for our next visit, such as fresh Seabass.
Great customer service alongside the best food we’ve had in 18 months of living in La Linea. Would highly recommend, and we’re obviously going again.

Had an amazing time at Revuelo for my partner's birthday. We chose this restaurant because the last time I went was fantastic. Great food, great atmosphere, great service, great location, unique culinary style, stands out above other local restaurants and value for money. The owner and waiter were fantastic. We will definitely be back for many more dinners. Also good for casual drinks and dinner parties with friends.

This small, family-owned restaurant is a hidden pearl in La Linea. On our visit there was just the three of us people and we sat outside to eat. Tapas and plates are, to put it simply, spectacular. Don't be under impressed by the simplicity of the restaurant, everything we ordered was very good, from the chorizo starter to the Cachopo main course, pepper fried to perfection, etc; and the service was personal and genuine. Friends were back there again yesterday after our first visit, and I'm sure it won't be the last one.

Not sure how this got such good reviews! Maybe it was because the waitress was more interested in her friends having a drink than customers having a meal. The food itself was good, although was a little surprised that the main course of mussels were just 13 peices. Perhaps a description on the menu would have sorted that out! I was expecting the lack of ambience, based on other reviews, but also thought the food price and portions would balance things out...unfortunately not. My wife was also rather annoyed at the lack of toilet paper or towels in the toilet but couldn't help but otice a stack of empty beer barrels. I might have rated things higher but not once did the waiters ask if the meal was OK ot if we wanted anything. Still very puzzled as to how this resturant/bar has had such high trip advisor ratings

We were looking for an early meal around 7pm, and they were open just a bit earlier than other restaurants. Which was lucky because it’s a real gem. We ate our way through the menu and enjoyed every dish. And when the bill came we found it had been excellent value, too.

Great place, away from the main square which is great, always super attentive staff, always go that extra mile to help. Food is great and reasonable IMHO, beers and Gin & Tonic great too. My advise is to book,but they always do their best to accommodate you. 100% worth a visit if your on La Linea.

Delicious tapas food on the terrace outside.
Extremely friendly service, recommended to everyone.
Afterwards we received a delicious (free) appetizer. We liked it so much that we even brought a bottle of it with us later

The best place in La Línea. A close atmosphere thanks to the management and employees of the premises, who always show friendly and hospitable treatment. Without a doubt a must visit if you are looking to try something new and different in La Línea de la Concepción.

We popped in to this no nonsense tapas and drinks place by a recommendation. It was Saturday night, the place was full and mixture of locals and expats. It's more of hole in a wall experience than fine dining. All food is "home made". I especially recommend Pimiento de Padrón and croquettes - best of the town. The service is top notch in La Linea standards. Don't miss Revuelo if you are looking for authentic Spanish tapas experience.

Friendly staff, simple menu, tasty food.
Stumbled across this restaurant and pleased we found it. The staff explained the menu and the wine choices. The food was well prepared and good quality. The owner came out and spoke with us at the end which made it very personal. Was very impressed and would come back.

Saw this on Tripadvisor so tried it on first night of visit to Gibraltar. Arrived about 6.00pm when it was just opening,forgetting that the Spanish eat later. Menu mainly mixed platters with a few tapas starters. Booked a table for later in the evening. All the tables are outside with some in a covered area.
Well,what a wonderful and fun time we had with great food. Alejandro the owner does the cooking with his wife and only one other assistant. We enjoyed it so much that we went there for 3 of our 4 nights !!!
Always a good sign if locals and English living in Gib go there.
Alex and the team are excellent hosts. The fact that it is a Taberna is a clue to the fact that it is the Spanish equivalent of an old fashioned English pub with home cooked food.

If you like a burger be sure to try the one here at Revuelo! Filled with fresh salad, cheese, egg, onions etc. A burger hard to beat…especially with the home cooked chips!
