Many restaurants in the Valpolicella are closed on Wednesdays, and even more close for the holidays during the last week or two of August. Luckily, Trattoria Dalla Bice was open and ready for us. The drive there from the main road was slightly complicated (and parking can be slim, in availability and in size of parking "space"), but upon arrival... More

All pasta is self-produced, the service is excellent and the wine is great. If you see locals dining to a restaurant it means that it is the place to be. This was the case.

We got there by recommendations from people eating there a few years back. In comparison we certainly prefer the Ca de Maghi in Fumane, see my report, but if you are in the area you may like to go in. Unlike the Ca de Maghi one do not sit as nicely overlooking the hills. I ordered as a main course... More

Up a winding hill road above the town is this wonderful restaurant. We ate there our first night in Negrar and found a warm welcome in a simple, rustic room. Our hostess, who spoke only a little English, was totally charming and helped us decipher the Italian menu. The food was delicious, everything we could have wished for. There were... More

Went on a Sunday night when other restaurants were closed. Owner, Johnnie, was very welcoming. Even broke into song a couple of times. Very good food and atmosphere. Recommend highly.

We had a lovely dinner tasting traditional venetian dishes and marvellous local wine. I strongly recommend the "bis di pasta" and the meat.... The service is simple but perfect. Definely a place to try.....

An inspired recommendation by Marco of Agora B&B. Awesome food, wine, service and views as a bonus. Little English spoken but that was awesome as well. Eat where the locals eat.. always a good decision.

The food was really good with many different dishes to choose from. Local pasta dishes with a real ‘cooked by nonna’ feeling. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Prices are very good and one gets real value for money. All in all, it’s a must!

I had the pleasure of visiting this local restaurant that was fully booked with local Italians. The food was outstanding, seasonal and authentic. In addition, the owner and staff were friendly and hospitable. It is a casual and family oriented place. Would definitely go back.

Great food, great staff. This is where the locals dine themselves. And when there you understand it. Forget written menues, the owner will tell you what available tonight. But there is quite a variation. The home made bread is simply great! A really enjoyable meal!
