Had a lovely pub meal here - it is dog friendly and the locals were very welcoming. Limited parking though we did park opposite the pub on the roadside. It was cosy and welcoming. Local beers on tap.

FIRST OF ALL BE AWARE IT LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES ON THIS PAGE. The courtyard is overgrown and untidy; the interior is dowdy and dusty. Late opening - doors should open at 6 pm and hostess was aware people were waiting outside, but at...More

Lovely staff, comfy 'British style' pub, and most importantly amazing food. Do not skip dessert, it was the best part! Loved the ice creams and ginger cake was delicious!!!

4 in party, all tried different options. Food first class, prices including drinks reasonable. Location a bit out of the way, need a car, but ample parking.Good service. Would definitely return if in the lakes.

This is a very friendly, welcoming pub/restaurant with a varied menu of very tasty food which is not over-priced. We have dined here on a number of occasions over the years.

Dropped in for a drink one lunchtime (Dacre is situated on a useful shortcut from Pooley Bridge if heading in the Keswick direction) and it is clear that the pub has seen better days and just the one real ale was on offer. Small outside...More

We came across this cute old world pub whilst driving to our B&B. It was lunch time and we were just in time for a sandwich and a beer. The opening hours are a little limited. The barmaid was very friendly and quickly took our...More

We had a relaxed beer at one of the tables on the grass surrounded by beautiful scenery before venturing inside the pub for a delicious lunch and another pint. A beautiful pub with a good atmosphere and friendly service. The food was reasonably priced also
