Visited for lunch and was so good we ended up going back again. Extremely fresh mariscos well prepared. Reasonably priced for what you get.

On a Monday is difficult to find a place open in that area. He had been recommended another restaurant but was closed and we decided to try this one. Ordered a mixed lobster plate for two and it was very good, as expected in that town. The house white wine is also very recommendable.

Good lunch for 2 with tapas comprising calamares, empanadas, pimientos rellenos washed down with a couple of glasses of albarino, all excellent in the beautiful surroundings of O Grove.

Loved the ambience in this brohaha brasserie type of place. The ingredients are fresh and very good. I felt that they employ too few staff which then leaves a few waiters to serve all tables - that is not fair - I had a mishap, possibly to do with too few staff in the kitchen too, and though the issue... Returning to O Grove after a decade we were really excited in having a dinner at El Crisol and repeat the fantastic experience of 13 years ago. Sadly we were informed that the restaurant where we had, with no doubt, one of the best seafood of our lives was definitely closed. Well…following a tip from a local we decided to... More

Surprisingly or probably not they also do excellent galician veal. Started with excellent scallops on the shell and ended with a superb grilled veal chop with fries and Padrón peppers. Very nice meal at a reasonable price.

The quality of the food was superb; generous portions, and with a very diligent service. The place is your typical Spanish "marisqueria" or shell-fish restaurant, with the fish bowls at the entrance full of lobsters and other crustaceans. The decoration is good and standard for this sort of place except for the white light from the ceiling that in my... More

My wife (argentinian) and I (italian) find this place very nice. The quality of the food is very good (the "mariscos" and the "pulpo" were delicious ). The waiter was very friendly and he answer all your questions, without being in hurry. The choise of wine was goos as well. The price was right. I recommend it.

Marisquerias Solaina are two galician restaurants placed in the tourist town of O Grove. They were opened in 1993 and 2001. The food served is local seafood mostly. But meat and vegetables are also served. Solaina was opened in 1993. The cozy restaurant is composed by two different flats with views to O Grove port. A Solaina, opened in 2001, is bigger and even that it has de same kind of cuisine, there are different kind of elaborated presentations and dishes available.
