No nonsense, non-tourist minded restaurant with really nice meals, great home made cider, and even better deserts. Price/value ratio.. it deserves a decent tip.

What a place! My partner and I tried to go on our first evening in Cangas but couldn’t get a table (they don’t do reservations) however we succeeded on the second evening (a tip would be to go earlier at about 8pm). We drank Sidra...and shared Tortos, chorizo a la sidra and a mixed platter; that was more than enough food for the two of us. The Tortos were amazing, we had the black pudding and caramelised onion ones and they were heaven on a plate. The price was very reasonable, under 30€ for the two of us and we were not left wanting. The service was great and the place is small with a cosy, authentic atmosphere. Que Aproveche!More

Had a delicious, very reasonably priced meal in relaxed surroundings with super-friendly, helpful and kind service. Local menu, tapas, excellent all-round and on top of everything it is one of the earliest-opening places in Cangas De Onis - always helpful for English people with kids....Terrific. Highly recommendedMore

I was wandering through Cangas de Onis last week and dodging the showers. I sat outside and the extremely friendly waiter suggested that for food i sit inside to avoid the rain. I ordered ensalada mixta and cidre sausages. The waiter was very understanding and...very polite when i cancelled the sausages as the salad was HUGE!! There was enough for 3 people and it was a perfect salad. The restaurant room is small and warm and I could imagine having a stew here on a cold day in Winter. The corks in the wall are an interesting idea, its too hard to explain, go and have a look yourself. Sidreria La Caldera is now my number 1 favorite restaurant in Cangas de Onis.More

Family dinner in a small pub setting. Friendly waiters and cheerful crowd. Food was pretty affordable and cheese platter outstanding.

Nice, quite busy little restaurant. We quite liked how helpful the staff were in spite of the crowd. They did their best with us English speakers and were always available to pour us a another splash of cider. Tapas was great. Well done.

A small Spanish Sideria just off the main street. Very friendly husband and wife team who patiently attempted to understand our attempts at Spanish. Having tried Asturian cider before we opted for the local beer. Started with tapas Chorizo meat balls deep fried in batter...and then a large platter of Asturian cheeses; ranging goat, sheep ,cow, topped off by the local mixed variety and then the extremely strong blue cheese. This was aided by tomato jam and apple jelly. As a blue cheese lover including Ilchester and Rocquefort i found this the strongest i have ever tasted. Not for the faint hearted. Recommend this venue.More

The food was very nice, as so the prize. It is our favourite place ni Cangas. In the same trip we’ve been twice for dinner. The waiter (the owner?) was very kind. 100% homemade asturian food.

I can't say anything bad about this place, its small, its charming and its very Spanish! The food is good and the price even better. I can't not mention the waiter, defiantly it's been a while, since I meet some character like him! Defiantly a...place worth to stop if you are looking for that kind of dinner setting. + The best chocolate cake I ever have!More
