popped in here while visiting cong from the castle. Great atmosphere filled with locals who were welcoming and happy to chat. Food looked great and hearty, but we didn't eat. Perhaps not as touristy as other spots in town - but think this was our impression due to it being very obviously locals there.

A really nice bar that also does food. Excelent gluton free soup with gf bread. A frendly welcome and the bar was full of locals. Always a good sign.

Did not think this place was at all friendly especially the people in the main bar left after one pint of guiness and went somewhere else

I had my biggest ever bowl of Irish stew in Danagher's by a gorgeous roaring fire. Heaven on earth but come with an empty stomach :-)

In November the choices in Cong are slim. This is a cozy pub with fireplace. Friendly as most places in this country are. The Guinness is good and they have a good menu ranging from T Bone steaks to burgers and stew. The seating is limited and tight but once you are in you will be treated well. They accept... More

We stopped in for a coffee on a cool morning. Owner was very kind, turned on the coffee machine for us and chatted with us for some time about the state of the world. He provided us with tips for our travel that proved excellent. We owe a wonderful day to him. Coffee was delicious as well!

Had irish stew - lots of meat and gravy. My brother in law had a hard time but ate most of it. I had already eaten so much lovely irish food on the trip, that I could not manage it well. It was very tasty though and a good price for the size of portion.
