Excellent meal. Large or small size meals available. Always seems busy so it's a good idea to book. Staff very helpful, excellent service.

Once again, we were a large, age diverse and dietary diverse party. Age range 4 to 77, diets "normal" to lactose and gluten free. Excellent menu choice, quite large, but all good (as far as I'm concerned, I can eat anything! Luckily). From starters all the way through to Puds; we left very satisfied and will definitely be returning.

An attractive exterior with ample parking space. Once inside the ancient front door, the age of the Inn was evident. A table for 10 had been booked and confirmed on a second visit, but on arrival were told that a table for six had been reserved. We had been given a modern side room where one end of the table... An ideal stop if travelling towards the A303. We had lunch here today, good see a dog walking area (0ff the road) and the pub was dog friendly too. There was a welcoming log fire when we arrived, together with a friendly barman. The menu was ideal, I just had a bowl of homemade soup (delicious!) and crusty bread and the... More

Although it was extremely busy, the waiting staff coped very well, they were friendly and had smiles on their faces all of the time. Nice, cosy pub with some interesting dishes on the menu. Our meals were excellent, very tasty and plentiful.

The Lime Kiln is a very friendly pub, all the staff are so nice, I had the cod and chips, very nice meal, huge portion of cod, came with peas and tartare sauce, best fish and chips I have eaten in a long time. For desert I had steamed syrup pudding with custard, took me back to my childhood! Very... More

I used to bring friends here and recommend the place to others but last night was disappointing and I don't think we'll bother again. As a vegan I'm quite used to just having a bowl of chips and a salad when I arrive unannounced anywhere, though most pubs (including this one in the past) are very accommodating and try to... More

We have been to this pub several times and always had a lovely meal, there is a wide varied menu. With plenty of parking and a comfortable relaxed friendly atmosphere. There steak is wonderful one of the best around.
