My wife and I ate here not too long ago, and unfortunately, our meal left a lot to be desired. This is the rundown of our trip: One of the most annoying things about our meal was the sloppy food service. My wife had already...finished her lunch by the time my dish was brought to the table. It was really inconvenient and took away from the enjoyment of the meal because of this lack of coordination. They didn't give us any basic necessities like napkins or utensils, which made things even worse. Thus, I had to resort to eating my quesadilla with my hands, which was not at all what we had hoped for at this restaurant. Noise Level: The din of the restaurant was ruined by the constant clatter of dishes and cutlery. The pool area was noisy and chaotic due to the presence of numerous inebriated guests. Because of this, having a quiet dinner and chat was difficult. Furthermore, when we specifically inquired about the spiciness level of the dishes we ordered, the staff assured us that they were not spicy. However, to our dismay, when the food arrived, it turned out to be much spicier than we had anticipated. This miscommunication added to our overall dissatisfaction with the dining experience. We believe that clear and accurate communication regarding the dishes' spiciness is essential, especially for those who may have a low tolerance for spicy food. We were also let down by the fact that several of the menu items depicted visually differed in appearance from the real dishes they offered. To put it mildly, the discrepancy between anticipation and fulfillment was annoying. Price Disparity: Finally, we couldn't help but observe that the pricing here were noticeably higher than those at other nearby restaurants serving comparable fare. The price was too high for what was offered. Our experience at this restaurant was not pleasant. Disappointing experience due to poor service coordination, lack of basic amenities, noisy atmosphere, deceptive menu pictures, and exorbitant costs. We won't be back, and we certainly won't suggest it to anyone looking for a good meal. Horrible service!!!!More

The food and most of the staff were lovely. However who we assume was the owner/manager was strutting about half naked, who we then heard tell a young female member of staff that he didn’t think she had the brains to work here in front...of everyone at the bar. He was behind the bar at the time which is why we’re assuming he was the owner/managerMore

I stayed here for 12 nights, in the old bamboo hut/dorm. I loved the quirkiness of the hut. The pool was amazing with lots of sun loungers, but also shaded areas when the sun got too much! I ate here lots of times, for breakfast,...lunch and dinner. All of the meals I had were amazing. I highly recommend the Thai green curry and the burgers. Yum.More

Chicken Parm and Szechuan Pepper Chicken were the winners. Great food, large portions and fantastic service. When our daughter didn’t see that ham came on the Chick Parm and looked at the menu, a waiter came rushing over and asked if everything was ok. A very pleasant place for breakfast or lunch, with friendly surroundings and staff. The food is good, with healthy options too. Plus, enjoy the swimming pool ! I have also stayed there, and would recommend it as a hotel.

The food was very very good! Came here for lunch because of the reviews, were a little skeptical when we came there. Maybe not the best ambience, everything very simple and basic. We have been here for Lunch and we can recommend this place for that. It is nothing really fancy but the Food is good and the atmosphere is also good. Unfortunately it is not close to the beach!

Lovely atmosphere, great pool and the best food. It was actually very hard to leave to visit the rest of the island because we stayed here too and were sad to leave. Great selection of western favourites like burgers, pasta dishes and grilled or fried...chicken. My favourites were the Asian dishes, nasi goreng and a black pepper chicken dish with rice. Had more than one day where all three meals were here, and enjoyed them all. There's a varied and tasty breakfast menu that's actually available all day. I felt the portions leant toward the generous side and prices were right where they should be. Good drinks selection too, with amazing milkshakes and fruit juices, beer and some liquors. Loved the island, loved Begadang and loved the food, can't say enough good things about this place.More

Stayed on Gili Air for two weeks and tried loads of different dishes at Begadang. Great food and my favourite of all was the Americano burger, followed closely by the Chicken Schnitzel. Would highly recommend eating there.

We didn’t stay here, nor did we attend. However we did order twice from here, takeaway to our villa. As they were partnered with them. Both times the food was absolutely unreal and worth ordering. We loved it.

Had this delivered to our villa on Gili Air. Was able to pay by card on delivery and the food was incredible. Definitely recommend.
