We had a few hours to kill while waiting for the fast boat to arrive and decided on this lunch place. Glad we did. The restaurant opens at 14:00 and when we arrived at 14:15 they were already waiting to receive us. The pizza oven was readily warmed and the pizza’s arrived shortly after ordering. The taste was also amazing.

In short, everything was perfect !
Very friendly and professional service by local staff, excellent food (pasta, didn't try pizza), restaurant super cute.
Went there twice during my stay at Gili Air; first time to give it a try (Bolognese perfect with very good ragù), second time because I loved my first experience (excellent pasta and Amatriciana sauce the second time also).
I was sceptical at first because of previous (bad) experiences with Italian food in Indonesia (tomato sauce always tasted of ketchup/super sweet) so I asked before ordering if the sauce was sweet: to my surprise, the waiter brought me a small bowl of sauce with a piece of focaccia to try !
The place is run by a lovely Italian lady from Rome, just go and enjoy !!!

This is the best restaurant on the Island. Restaurant looks really nice and meal is perfect! They have real italian pizza and perfect coffee. Stuff is friendly and really profesional. You can see owner here too. She supervises about everything and take care, and you can really feel diference against other restaurants on the island. Really good job 👌

The 3 meals we had at Gili Air were all there. We went for the first time and ate the carbonara pasta and the truffle. We liked it so much that we returned the day after lunch for a pizza, sandwiches in pizza bread and focaccia. To say goodbye we went to eat two more pasta - pomodoro and bolonhesa.
The masses are really very good, as well as the focacia - hasn't eaten such a good one since Italy.

A small corner of Italy in the Gili.
Excellent food, high quality raw materials, very kind staff and exceptional owner. My friends and I returned to this place three consecutive evenings. On the last evening we had the pleasure of chatting with the owner who told us the history of her restaurant, transmitting to us the passion and dedication of her work. Highly recommended!!

Italian restaurant with attention to detail (it almost feels like being in a corner of the Amalfi coast), beautiful furnishings, welcoming and very kind staff, who always ask you if everything is okay; excellent food!!! The fried pizzelle and parmigiana pizzas were delicious (and I have Campania origins, for me pizza is sacred); homemade tonnarelli, amatriciana style brushed with taste (and the slipper also made); remarkable tiramisu and to finish a cremino coffee with biscuit.

A true Italian restaurant on the paradisiacal island of Gili Air, delicious pastas and very well-leavened and tasty pizzas, we didn't think we'd eat so well, it was a really nice surprise!! The owner, originally from Lazio, was very courteous and attentive to our needs, congratulations to her who alone managed to create all this!!!

Authentic Italian woodfired pizzas. A great family dinner spot. Very centrally located for the port arrivals - we were going to grab a quick lunch as well before we left on the 230pm boat but wasn’t open for lunch when we were there. Would be good dinner spot if arriving on a late boat and want some good western food straight off the boat

Wow, I'm just saying. Could never have expected to eat one of the best pizzas ever on a small Island in Indonesia.
Super cozy setting, friendly and helpful staff. Really understanding for our children who are allergic to milk and solved super tasty food for them.
Definitely the best food we ate on Gili Air but also during the whole holiday so far (7 days in).
(It can be added that I have eaten a lot of pizzas around the world) 😊

We stumbled upon Gili Air by chance as soon as we arrived and honestly it was a pleasant surprise. Excellent ingredients and truly effective service, as you can see in general throughout the island the service is incredibly slow... in Italy we ate excellent pizzas served in no time! Perfect place to take a break from Indonesian food.

After eating local food for two weeks, we felt like changing the taste a bit. And we made the best of it.
Wonderfully genuine atmosphere, great service and the best pizza and carbonara pasta we had in a while.
Prices are a bit high - compared with similar restaurants on the island - but we don't regret eating here. We will surely return for another pizza soon.

An Italian dinner in two weeks of Indonesia, more out of curiosity than necessity.

A decent Italian restaurant for a foreigner. For an Italian, no. Pizza: objectively discreet dough. Mozzarella is not mozzarella. Part of the surface of the pizza is not seasoned but dry. Sour tomato.

Great pizzeria, with several starters and delicious pizzas. We repeat, the first day the cheesecake disappointed us a little (it had a touch of lemon) so the next we went to Mamma Mía, which was good but the juggling that you have to do to get a table seems ridiculous to me. The last day we decided to repeat in this Italy and the sensations were unbeatable since the previous references and comparisons were very clear... very good carbonara and the garlic bread tremendous. Similar level between the two pizzerias but we go only for the comfort they offer me here, I would never hesitate again. Much closer attention too

We have come here 3 times. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is fantastic. We loved the passion of the owner who made us feel incredibly welcome.
Recommend this restaurant highly particularly if you are seeking traditional Italian food and wine.

Travel through Asia for me is about everything you leave behind so you can be open to new cultures, experiences, people food etc. I go local, eat local, support local. But after weeks of amazing Indonesian food I wilted and desperately wanted of all things a pizza. Italy pizzeria is relatively new on the Gili Air scene but took my fancy. I wasn’t disappointed as I mowed down nearly a full Amatriciana on my own. From first sight to last bite, this was devine. The menu is typically pizzeria as is the decor an wonderful Italian music. Get there before dusk, go upstairs, grab a beer and enjoy not only good pizza but great views across to Lombok. Ok so prices are NOT local Warung but they are very reasonable for what you get. A pizza can easily feed a couple and is around IDR 120,000. A lovely and unexpected experience. Go on and give it a go. You won’t be disappointed…👍👍👍👍🍕🍕🍕🍕
