Weve visited PDM 7 times before but never eaten here before. We visited twice for evening meals. It is a bit restrictive in that there are only about seats for 16 people so there are 2 sittings and we had the 2nd one at 8.30pm - also its cash only. We had the spaghetti seafood which was full of various shellfish and a fantastic sauce. We also had salmon ravioli which was great. If you want to sample pizza or pasta in basic surrounds at a very sensible price this is the place to go

Possibly the best Italian meal I have had anywhere. This place is small so book very early, I think there maybe 20 covers but they have three sittings in the evening. It is also up a side street near the harbour and you sit in the street. The friendly staff and outstanding food add to the quality of the evening and the singing chef is as good at holding a tune as he is at cooking. We had a selection of starters recommended by the waiter and I had a wonderful fillet steak with spaghetti which is a house specialty. Finished by homemade Panna cotta and lemon cello. Honestly go here and don't miss the experience

Eat here every time we are in Mogan. Doesn’t look much but the food is excellent and the chef a real character. I had Macaroni Four Cheeses and it was fantastic. My wife had a pizza and the base was so thin and crispy she loved it. Tiramisu to finish. Great meal and great value for money.

We had heard positive things about this little Italias restaurant in PdM, so it was time to try for ourselves. But already from the first moment we was a bit disappointed. The femaile waiter spoke very poor English and could not expiain the dishes properly. We ordered 2 pizzas Napolitano style and a pasta carbonara and a decent bottle of Italian redwine from Masciarelli (Abruzzo). The wine was served in very simple wine glass and for wine lovers like us this is a downturn. We had also heard about the chef singing Italian songs but it was more a kind of screaming to simple rock music . It was not very charming or Italian. The pizzas were good but not extraordinary. Too little spices for our taste and we were not offered any olive oil or chilioil or any other stuff which could have enhanced the taste. The carbonara was OK but looked very simple without any garnish. We have been to Italy more than 60 times before , but this was not Italy like we know it. There are several better Italian options in PdM AS well.

We ate here a year ago, when the (Tuscan prepared) Pizza’s were good. This time there were issues. Firstly the size of the portions were parsimonious at best. The base was thin and the Calzone bereft of much content. For sure the base was tasty and the content fine. We have eaten Pizza in Montespertoli, Firenze, San Miniato, Poggibonsi and a host of other Tuscan towns, also Sicily, Venice, Rome, and Lake Garda amongst other. We have dined in numerous Italian (including Neapolitan) restaurants in the UK; so feel that we know a good Pizza! The cost for primarily a takeaway with a cafe with a few pleasant but very basic tables with very expensive Italian beer, was disproportionately high. So as it stands, I would not recommend a visit.

Like some others I can't understand the excitement about this place. I've eaten here 3 times now but today was it's last chance to impress. I clearly ordered carbonara with penne, the waiter repeated penne as he wrote, but I was served spaghetti. I ate it anyway without complaint (I'm English). It was good but would have been better if the bacon had been cooked more.
Then I ordered coffee, was asked 'espresso?' and I replied 'no, Americano please'. I was served espresso, not what I wanted but it was good coffee. At the same time I asked for the homemade tiramusu which looked delicious but was just wet sponge with whipped cream and a little cocoa powder dusting. If there was any mascarpone it was undetectable and I couldn't taste marsala or coffee.
So my recommendation is go somewhere else, with or without a better view.

This is a truly exceptional restaurant. Italian food made with love, skill and fantastic ingredients. I had the the garlic squid to start with alongside garlic bread to mop up the sauce and a special creamy salmon penne - both were incredible and a far cry from the generic tourist resort eateries that dominate this small town. Thank you Anotinio for what you do

This was by far our best meal on Gran Canaria and in fact one of our better experiences with Italian food (despite several trips to Italia).
The food is clearly made with time and passion.
The restaurant is small in size and can easily be overlooked if you don't know what to look for. Make sure to sit down and enjoy a quiet, calm atmosphere lifted by the chef occasionally singing along to Italian ballads.
We had the ravioli with salmon and tortillini with fruit de mare and found an intensely flavourful saus, freshly made pasta and foccacia on the side baked like a pizza (the most flavourful foccacia I have had and I will make foccacia this way in the future).
This is a truly charming restaurant with great quality food beyond the modest size of the restaurant kept by people who clearly has a genuine passion for their work. The friendly, trustful, home-like atmosphere is frankly also a far cry from the pushy tourist traps along the beach nearby.
Grazie mille!

We knew from TA that this was a small restaurant that would require booking ahead so we wandered past early on in our holiday and booked our evening meal. I had the tagliatelle with prawns in a lemon sauce. The prawns were so succulent but perhaps it was a bit too overwhelming on the lemon flavour. My husband had a seafood spaghetti dish that was then baked in the oven which what looked like it was a pizza type dough covering it. It wasn’t anything we’ve come across before but he said it was great, pizza and pasta all rolled into one, and hit the spot for his huge appetite. The seafood was also plentiful and succulent. We didn’t stay for dessert as I had eyed up the ice cream shop on the corner!
An enjoyable dinner and it seemed popular with takeaways too. We would have come again but ran out of time.

We ate early (7 pm) at the request of the restaurant and did expect it to be busier and with more atmosphere than there was. We sat on a small table on a slope in a little back street and next door to a busy pharmacy. We felt the menu was a bit limited in choice, but the pasta we had was good (both had seafood pasta dishes) and the bruschetta starter was as you would expect. Dessert was a real disappointment - no tiramisu and only panacotta, which neither of us like. Not even any ice cream! We have had better food and value elsewhere in PM. We wish them luck because it is not easy trading these days. But we feel they need to up their game a bit.

We ordered takeaway pizzas and carbonara pasta, which didn't take long to cook.
As we have found in the past the pizzas are always delicious.
You have to book in advance as there are not many tables in this small street restaurant, so try and plan you visit and book well in advance.
Staff are always friendly and they checked the ingredients for my son as he has a peanut allergy.
Highly recommend this restaurant/takeaway.

It’s not easy to find a good place to eat when on holiday, especially if you’re looking for a more authentic experience. Although this isn’t authentic Canaria, it is run by real Italians - this tiny place is predominantly a takeaway spot but has four outside tables, which gives it an amazing atmosphere. The pizzas are highly recommended, and there's also a range of pasta dishes (of which the dish my partner tried was incredible), plus the obligatory creamy tiramisu or panna cotta . It's pleasantly set back from the main complex and drag in the old part of town. Highly recommend, best restaurant of our visit to Gran Canaria.
Great prices - we spend around €45 for 3 courses and drinks.

This is a really small family restaurant and is terrific fun. You will need to be very organised and book in advance but it is worth taking the time to do so as it was a special evening.
They seem to have a sittings and allow you about an hour and a half for your meal. You choose from a fairly wide range of home-made pasta and pizza which are interesting and different .
The food was superb. Big portions of delicious freshly cooked pasta unlike almost any other Italian restaurant. Because it is family run everyone cares that you have a great time and the service was exceptional.
They have a good Italian wine list and the house wine is very drinkable indeed.

Superb pizza and pasta in a very simple environment.
On the street, outdoor eating, very limited seating ( capacity of 12 max) but simple food that will really please and very friendly service with the chefs singing to accompany the meal. Forget your sophisticated side and chill out with the best simple food you will get anywhere.

My wife and I always head for this restaurant when we are in Gran Canaria. Family owned and run it produces delicious freshly cooked Italian food at a reasonable price. Be sure to book or you will be disappointed.
