About
We are a family business in which quality and customer service have always been our benchmarks since 1985. For 30 years, our gastronomic offer has been based on a wide variety of snacks, ice creams and cocktails, in which we were pioneers. With the incorporation of our sons Fernando and Sebastián, we grew annexing the adjacent premises to gain space, capacity and services. Completely redecorated with warm and wood, we offer authentic Spanish cuisine. During the day snacks and an extensive selection of tapas. Starting at 6:00 p.m. dinner transforms us, salads, fish, seafood and fresh meats take control. The counterpoint of the night is the homemade desserts, cakes and fresh fruit from Mogán. Waiters who speak Spanish, English, German and Italian, jazz music, ice cream, cocktails and the location by the sea, create the perfect atmosphere for our clients to spend a great night. Welcome !!!

We read the reviews before trying this restaurant and were slightly concerned about the negative comments we read. Please don't let them put you off as we loved this place and will certainly be back. Extremely friendly staff and delicious food in a fantastic setting makes it a great place for eating and drinking in Puerto de Mogan. We ate the daily specials and found them delicious and reasonably priced especially as its right next door to the marina. Not sure how any of the negative reviews can be true because they certainly didn't reflect our visit.

Hello good afternoon.
Thank you very much for your comment, but the big problem with TripAdvisor is that anyone can write what they want without even having to present any evidence that really indicates that they were in the restaurant and that opens a door to people who want to hurt .
Thanks again.

We have been holidaying in Puerto De Mogan for 20 years and we visit here at least twice every trip. It is owned and run by two brothers who are passionate about looking after every one of their customers and serving delicious and traditional Spanish food.
My occupation is training customer service specialists and these guys have got it nailed, every member of staff are genuinely pleased to see you and are able to gauge the attention that you want, they are knowledgeable and local but above all just really nice people.
This is a spotlessly clean, fabulously positioned and family run eatery.
The food is fabulous and reasonably priced, tapas is served at lunchtime and the beef stew within the tapas is quite seriously the best I have ever tasted, it is made by the boys’ mother on a daily basis and much of the fresh fish is caught by the boys themselves.
The evening menu is wide and varied with seasonal specials and everything is freshly cooked, a smashing place to eat in a great position in a beautiful town.

Location: in a great spot front row in the marina. People watching heaven.
Service: direct, honest, efficient, and return customers get friendly smiles and greetings.
Food & Drinks: In addition to lunch and dinner service, they also offer drinks and desserts only. Menu is varied with tapas, salads, starters, mains, desserts, ice creams. Check the blackboard for the daily specials.
Secret off the menu drink: Barraquito Coffee for €5.50. Just ask the waiter for it as you will not find it on the drinks menu.
During my last stay in Puerto de Mogan I had lunch here twice.
First visit, €26.10:
Smoked salmon salad, garlic bread, house rosé wine by the glass, sparkling water, barraquito coffee.
Second visit, €31.60:
Red snapper (daily special), house rosè wine by the glass, sparkling water, a absolutely delicious large glass of sangria.
The restaurant is suitable for families, friends, couples, and solo travelers.
During my stay in Puerto de Mogan they were closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for staff rest. Do check their website for up to date opening hours.

Decided to eat again at Sol y Luna having enjoyed it on our last visit to Mogan. Not so this time unfortunately. From the moment we arrived, the waiter seemed more concerned with extracting our drinks order than explaining the menu. Anyway, we ordered the tuna and octopus, but the food took over an hour to arrive, while we desperately rationed our wine to avoid running out (a cynic might suggest the restaurant wanted us to order another bottle). The portions were distinctly "nouvelle cuisine" sized, and my tuna, despite its splendid presentation on the inevitable slate platter, had been overcooked way past "rare" as I had requested. Sadly, having been served these modern artworks, we were then completely ignored for the duration of the meal. No-one asked how the food was, nor topped our wine up, and it was only some time later, when I waved my arms about to complain, that the waiter came over to ask if we wanted dessert! It turned out he was the proprietor, but having heard me out, he offered no apology whatsoever, just told me "I wasn't the only customer". The insinuation, I assume being that they were too busy to bother with the niceties of customer service. So we paid and left, without a dessert, and never to return. I would urge other potential diners to do likewise, as their unhelpful attitude deserves suitable recognition.

We were staying in Puerto de Mogan for 6 weeks. Needless, to say there are good places there. Solyluna was definately among the top if not the best. We had dinner there 4 times. Local fish is an absolute must, tapas are to die for and spirit in the coffee is indeed very cozy and warm. The restaurant is family run and the family does all the best to satiafy there clients - be it recommendation as to the best food from menu for that evening, the most suitable win to accompany it or helping to get past the locked door to get to the apartment. Our sincery thank you for unforgetable evenings in Puerto.

Sol & Luna is at the top of my list when on holiday in Puerto de Mogan. Also check out my review from January 2022.
Do remember to ask the waiter what the daily specials are before you make a decision on what to order. Their authentic Canarian menu have something for everyone, don’t except pizza, pasta or chicken nuggets.
The restaurant is located front row in the marina, and is excellent for people watching and a lovely view of all the boats.
My first lunch during this holiday I was enjoying solo. I had the Arroz cremoso con Langostinos y Calimar, which is like a one pot with seafood and rice in a tomato based broth. With a 0.5 liter bottle of sparkling water and a glass of rose wine the cost was €29. Well worth it!
Second lunch was with a group of friends and we had made sure to book the table weeks ahead. This restaurant is popular so booking ahead for larger lunch groups or dinner is recommended. At the friends meetup I got a chance to eat the Tapas for Two. It was so good!
They also serve just drinks and desserts. Great for a pit stop in the afternoon. Barraquito coffee is not on the official menu, but they do make the best version of this drink if you ask for it.

I ate in this restaurant with my family including 3 adults & 3 children, if i was basing this review on food alone it would have been 5 stars however the service was shocking.
The waiter asked to take our food order within a couple of minutes of arriving and was then very rude and seemed annoyed with us while we were selecting tapas dishes , no guidance or recommendations were offered . It was all rushed despite the restaurant only being a third full .
We weren’t told the specials and overheard other customers being told , it turns out there were dishes we would have ordered if we had been given the chance.
My sons rice was so undercooked it was inedible, again the staff were rude and unapologetic when i asked to cook it longer.
Timings were all wrong . Those in our group eating tapas as a main had completely finished all of our food before others had even had a starter so we had to sit and watch them eat 2 courses .
The meal was expensive which we expected given the location and had the staff been friendly we would have returned. Shame really

Good morning.
If we distinguish ourselves at Sol&Luna for something, and that has been the case for more than 35 years of the restaurant's life, it is for the treatment of our staff, kindness and education, and then for the quality of our food.
I don't know what happened and I don't want to question his experience at the restaurant, but I have a hard time believing his story, something doesn't agree with me.
Thanks

We booked this restaurant based on previous reviews and we were not disappointed.
Booking is essential as they were constantly turning walk ins away. We booked in person on the morning of the evening we wanted.
We started with the garlic prawns and they were able to offer gluten free bread, although, originally, they gave me normal bread, but, as I spotted this before eating they took it away and made me fresh prawns in case of contamination.
For mains we have the white fish in sauce, and I had the scallops (this is a starter) with Canaria potatoes, they brought out some lovely gluten free sauces to accompany those.
Service very good and friendly.

The next time I recommend that when you make the reservation, let the waiter know that you want gluten-free food. Thank you very much for your comment.

An excellent and popular spot. While you are out strolling through town, be sure to book as most "walk-ins" were being turned away early this evening.
A varied menu with something to please everyone. We had the fresh fish, which was superb. Be sure to enquire how much the "specials" are as the fresh fish is priced by weight and no prices are shown on the menu board. You might be surprised!

We ate twice at this restaurant and had dishes from the specials board both times. The restaurant was always buzzing and the ultra efficient serving staff are very attentive. The food is generally well cooked although fairly basic.
The first specials dish was Local Red prawns. These were very small and hence had to be eaten whole as de-shelling them just mashed them to a pulp. The dish was very minimal, only about 15 prawns, and at €21 unsatisfying. The second occasion we ordered the Lobster Thermidor which was heavily recommended by the waiter. At €39 we decided to splash out but we’re very disappointed. The shell of a small lobster had been hollowed out and some of the meat mixed with breadcrumbs and then baked. The claws and legs had been removed, so none of the succulent claw meat. The edible mixture amounted to about 2 small spoonfuls. With no other accompaniments worth eating the dish was extremely poor value. The wines are excellent however, and there is a lot of theatre with the waiting staff using what looked like old chemistry sets to aerate the red wine.
Always ask the price of the specials before choosing.

Loved this little restaurant, the setting was beautiful and the owner was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The sangria was lovely. We saw a few meals being served and they looked delicious, we will definitely be eating there when we visit Mogán again!

It’s a busy place is Puerto Mogan so we decided to pre book a table at what is supposedly one of the best tapas restaurants in the area. We booked online via email 48hours beforehand and received an email acknowledgment confirming our booking had been successful. On the evening, we arrived on time to be met by the restaurants representative. He said that the restaurant was full and that he could not accommodate us. We found the email confirming the booking and showed it to him as he insisted we confirmed this. There was no apology, no acceptance of error and no desire to try and fit us in. There was simply arrogance and rudeness. I am gobsmacked that this restaurant has such a high rating. Avoid it.

My apologies is all I can ask of you, but there must have been some communication problem with the reservation department. What surprises me a lot is that they have treated him with arrogance and rudeness when kindness and professionalism are the most relevant and valued characteristics by our clients.
I reiterate my apologies

Gluten free options on the Marina - lovely views!
Several tapas options which the waitor marked on the menu as gluten free, also the majority of main meals can be gluten free.
We enjoyed the tapas and shared olives, peppers, mixed meat, gluten free bread, garlic prawns (which were slightly overdone and wouldn't recommend) and canarian potatoes (only 1 of the 3 sauces are gluten free).
The staff were knowledgeable about gluten free however they were quite direct and could be friendlier.

Normalmente nuestro personal es muy amable y junto con la calidad del producto es una de nuestras cualidades mas valoradas. La única razón que se me puede ocurrir es que hubiera mucha afluencia de personas en el restaurante.
Muchas gracias por su comentario.

Our experience was average because they got our simple order wrong and my lobster (very expensive special dish) came with a side salad that was absolutely drenched in vinegar dressing, which completely ruined it. Wouldve been nicer to have some vegetables on the side tbh. Mum's fish was lovely however. Nothing special.

We came here 2 yrs ago before lockdown on chance and recalled it had great tapas and on memory the aubergine fries with honey were to die for. Therefore we decided to try dinner this time. No disappointment the food was amazing and delicious. I ordered the grilled octopus and OMG it was beautifully done . Hubby had the pork medallions in raisin and wine jus which he absolutely loved considering f they had ran out of his original choice of Pork Ribs. In my opinion one of the best restaurants to eat in Puerto Mogan aside from La Caracula
We have already booked return visit during our stay
