This is a restaurant located in the town of Celestun and on the beach. You can choose sitting under the roof or out on the sand under a palapa. Service is quick. The beer is very cold. We had the fried whole fish and the shrimp quasadillas. Both were very good. We have had the quasadillas before and these were... More

I came here for lunch. It's next to Los pampanos. The service is quite nice. I had the ceviche which was actually good. The also have recently catch fish and they can prepare it anyway that you want to. Prices are quite similar to other seafood restaurants in town.

Beware, they work with two menus. Both in Spanish, but one for the tourists adding 10-20% to the Mexican menu prices!!! Food is good though.

La Playita was recommended by a local. It's on the beach, we sat a table where we could dig our feet into the sand, very nice location. But the fried plantains were greasy, the breaded shrimp was overcooked and so was my husband's grilled fillet. The vegetables were also limp and overdone. The beer was served nicely chilled. Service was... More

This rustic restaurant has a great view on the beach, and our fish dishes were tasty and enjoyable. Unfortunately though, extra dishes were added to our bill and the 'adding up' was also wrong by 110 pesos which seemed like an organized scam when then waiter just told us the overall amount and only handed over the bill when we... A nice selection of cocktails. Everything is locally caught so that means fresh and relatively cheap. And so yummy! They have a nice selection of drinks too and you can sit in the sand at tables on the beach.

We ate lunch here on our first day in Celestun. My shrimp cocktail was full of shrimp, but they were the tiniest, itty-bitty shrimp I have ever seen. More like bait shrimp! My husband's fish a la diabla was okay but nothing to write home about. Beer was cold and sand in our toes was nice, but we enjoyed the... More

We have had lunch here twice after early morning flamingo tours. Both times we really loved the ceviche (HUGE portions) and the micheladas. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. It was also really nice to sit on the beach, watch the surf, kids flying kites, people walking by, and no one bugging you to buy... More
