I see this restaurant has mixed reviews but we were on the beach and decided to give it a go. My fish was fresh and well cooked with a mixed Tapas to start. No complaints with either of our meals and we'd go back again.

Visited with two teenage girls. We all enjoyed the tapas and paella but the staff were outstanding, taking time with the girls and even chatting the next day, as we walked past, about the girls plans to visit the zoo.

We visited this place twice, both were disappointed. You have to wait long for your order and when you get it is not what you're expecting. The "Pescador" salad which has to be the best salad is soo soo poor, small and not tasty at all, we all had a fish as a main-same as the salad-small portion and not... More

We have used this restaurant several times in the past and enjoyed the experience, however there has been a change of ownership and it is now off our list of places to go. We waited a long time for our drinks, even longer for the main course. The starters were very nice but the main course came with hot plates... More

We returned to El Pescador after a year. I do not know if the ownership has changed but food was clearly worse, service lousy and unprofessional. Will not return.

One year has passed since our previous visit- now under new ownership. Although the staff and the owner very friendly the food in our opinion is not so good so will cross this one off our list.

Really enjoyed our two recent visits to this lovely restaurant situated on the promenade. Excellent daily menu at really good price. Staff very welcoming. Do yourself a favour and pay them a visit.

Had always dined here frequently when in Altea. On our first visit this year we were disappointed to find that Andy had sold the business. We were told by the new owners that the menu was still the same and they still had the same chef. Sadly the value for money had gone, the wine was abysmal, and the quality... More
