We go here. Oysters, sooo fresh and the daily menus, incl the Grandma's chicken casaroll is fantastic. Actually, they all are. Very good white house wine, reasonable prices and top service does that we go here again and again.

There are many "tourist friendly" restaurant in the area with average food. This is not one of them. There is passion here and the food reflects that. Highly recommended

We had dinner here with the family. The owner is such a sympathetic man. He speaks with a lot of passion about the dishes that it's hard to make a choice!! If you love oysters you should definitely try them here. superb!! we will come again soon!

We ate here last Friday night with a friend who has eaten here many times before. Make sure to book because this is a popular place and deservedly so.It's small and quirky inside and the service is very personal. The owner comes to each table to describe the menu and both the food and wine are excellent. We waited about... More

There are so many fantastic places to eat in Altea, but we never miss a chance to eat at El Perro Negro when visiting. Situated just at the end of the main shopping street at the very start of the long, beautiful trek up to the old town, it doesn't have the the amazing views you may find elsewhere in... More

We ate here twice during our stay in July... The food was amazing and very relevant to the old town... The gentleman owner was fabulous and friendly, we would most highly recommend dining here if you are staying in Altea, we certainly will be! Relaxing and comfortable setting, see you again!

Four of us dined here for our friends birthday, we live in Altea but this was our first visit, it was a busy night as it was Halloween. The restaurant decor is very traditional and a little old fashioned however the food more than made up for the look of the tables and chairs! If it's a nice day or... More

We called in here on spec and lucky to get the last available table. The venue is an elevated terrace overlooking one of the streets that run down from the old town to a central avenue in the main town. We had a lovely meal looked after by a friendly host who seemed to know almost all the guests. Our... More
