Stunningly good food

I'm not sure if I can adequately express how good our meal was at Holzstadel. We were concerned that we couldn't get a table as it was fully booked inside but we were delighted to be able to get a table outside without issue. There had been a little rain and the waiter kindly offered me a wool blanket to sit on in case I might get wet. My husband and I ordered the cremesuppe to start and it was perfect. Every single spoonful was full of flavour with excellent herbal notes. I could have eaten two bowls. I ordered the vegetarian flammkuchen as I wanted something light and it was really nice. The herbs on the top were very tasty and really complimented the Mediterranean vegetables. My husband ordered the vegetarian burger and was truly blown away by the quality of the burger and the perfect seasoning. A standard 'veggie burger' this was not. Even the few carrots that I pinched from his plate (don't judge me) were perhaps the best seasoned ones I've tasted. I can say, hand on heart, that I have never had a better meal in the area. I might add that I can only imagine how incredible the non-vegetarian food must be as ours was tip top. I would suggest that you book and if you are told they are fully booked ask for an outside table. You won't regret it.

Very good cuisine in the hut

Friendly, super hearty menu (iPad) and an old cherry to finish 😋 We met a young couple, which gave us a broad impression on both evenings. The schnitzel was crispy thanks to a great coating of panko flour and the fries were fabulous. The young-at-heart staff in the rustic après-ski hut create a very pleasant atmosphere. We'd love to come back.

Enjoyed the delicious food and the view!

We had dinner here today and enjoyed it. We had a lovely meal on the terrace in the sun. The service is attentive and the food is delicious. The children were both spoiled with ice cream and a bag of popcorn to take home. They have something for everyone, we had schnitzel and rib eye. The plates are beautifully prepared, it is slightly different and it tastes excellent. The portions are on the generous side. Definitely recommended to go!

Very disappointing

Visited on my husband's birthday based on reviews, menu and kerb appeal. Asked for ribs (which was on the menu) and was told it was only available on Mondays so ordered steak. Also ordered Flammkucken (also on menu) and told it wasn't available so ordered pizza. Took the waiter 5 mins to bring an extra wine glass so sat around waiting to toast. Turns out that ribs were available - just not the ones the waiter thought I meant - pizza looked like it was from the freezer, and charged extra for french fries with the steak. Would advise trying the Wine Lounge or Ox & Ehrlich if you want a better than average meal

Mediocre experience

I saw many positive reviews, so I gave it a try. Dissapointing. Service was curt and not friendly, food was greasy and the choice of desserts was very limited. I also don't understand why this location is classified as child-friendly (that seems to me to require a little more than a high chair and changing mat..)

Bad experience!

The decor is attractive, rustic, alpine. Unfortunately, you can only see parked vehicles from the terrace, although the location, a little above Lermoos, is very pleasant and quiet. The staff seemed rather listless and disinterested towards us. The prices for food and drinks are within the usual range for the area. We ordered side salad, veal goulash and a burger with a beef patty. The veal goulash was far too tough and dry for me, and in my opinion the salad had seen better days; it was wilted and partially falling apart, but it tasted OK. My partner ate the burger, whose patty he felt was too dry and fried for too long. The buns were toasted too much on the outside, not on the inside, and therefore could no longer be handled with cutlery. The potato gratin, the red cabbage as a side dish with the goulash and the fries with the burger were OK. We will not visit this restaurant again.

Simply delicious, fresh and friendly - the best restaurant in Lermoos!

We are always impressed by how delicious all the dishes are and how friendly both the service and the owner are. This time I had a very special request, namely baked mushrooms. I never thought it would work, but just in time for our 3rd visit within a week, a huge portion was ready. Absolutely delicious. Our favorite restaurant in Lermoos!

We were not treated very kindly, we were basically left standing in the restaurant. The reason given was that it would take a while, so it's not a problem, but then you could at least show them where you can wait and not just run away and leave them standing there like an idiot. In my opinion, that was a missed job, we won't be coming again.

Great restaurant. I have rarely experienced such good service. The food was delicious and the price was totally reasonable. The children got an ice cream on the house after their meal. There was nothing missing here. Reservations are essential, otherwise you need a lot of luck. A visit is highly recommended.

Excellent food and great service

We were passing through Lake Garda and spontaneously went to the restaurant. There were four of us with two large dogs and a small one. It was really excellent. Great service and a great meal. Two of us ate fish and two had meat. At the end I had Kaiserschmarren. It was a poem. We are now back at Lake Garda and will go back on Friday. We are really looking forward to the excellent food. Thank you very much

"High Hopes Dashed: Rude Service and Unnecessary Remarks Over Digital Menus at Holzstadl Restaurant"

Visited Holzstadl with high hopes, but was left deeply disappointed. The male waiter we encountered was far from welcoming, and was especially rude about the children using digital menus, even though they were provided by another staff member. While it's understandable that restaurants might have protocols, the manner in which it was communicated was wholly inappropriate. The overall experience was tarnished by this behavior. Would think twice before revisiting.

Best food we had during our stay in Lermoos. The staff was also very friendly. If you like a healthy meal, I would recommend the shrimp with vegetables.

Good atmosphere, good food

This is much more a restaurant than an apres-ski bar. The restaurant is very nice decorated, offers round tables, excellent for families and groups. The meals are delicious and the staff are very friendly.

I didn't believe that in so small town there is such good restaurant with dry age beef. So good ribe eye steak I didn't have for a long time. And service also very friendly. See you next year.!
