It works till 3 or 4 PM, and they cooked for us after this time. Very nice ladies working there, they finally explained me how to it this Creole food. We enjoyed perfect view and had a nice time, just two of us, there. Food was good.

We reserved here in person the afternoon before our dinner. I took the woman to be the owner or manager and another woman seemed to be her sister. My wife asked specifically for a table by the water, and our server gave us 7:30. When we arrived, one other table was occupied. When they left, it was just we. No... More

We arrived very late into Deshaies and although they were officially closed they did seat us and serve us. (There were still other patrons in the restaurant eating.)They were very hospitable. For English only speakers note that they were not able to explain to us what the food was. It was fairly disappointing and not what we were eagerly anticipating... More

After having several meals on the island at local places paying about 10 Euros per person, we went into this place on a Wednesday night. Sat down and started to look at the menu. They had English under the French. Good thing. Well after we searched and searched for something in our price range, we left. Prices ranged from $19... More

The food is very subpar. For the price there are much better choices in the immediate vicinity. Unfortunately, the evening we went there it was the only open restaurant on the main street of the village of Deshaies that could take our group of 6 without a reservation.

Our first meal in Deshaies. We were having a late lunch and told they were out of several items. My wife went with a grilled fish (which comes as a whole grilled fish, which is how it is served almost everywhere we came to find out). I had the grilled fish kabobs. Really good. The waitress was helpful even tho... More

The staff tried very hard to overcome our poor command of language. Entrees were very robust and i had to leave some. Steak for my main course was not the best but the right quality for the price. Service was good without being rushed.

Big as a barn and never more than a few tables taken, so one over the sea is no problem, decor needs revamping as rather dated! However some of the dishes are pretty good - Octupus (chatrou) stew was big & full of flavour - the real creole - rice & beans and plenty of both. Fish in court bouillion... More

Cozy eat by the sea restaurant. Nobody spoke English here, but we were able to work our way through it with the extremely limited French we spoke. Tasty food with a cozy atmosphere.

We were in Deshaies without a reservation, most restaurants were fully booked and this place was available. Service was good but was not able to make up for very unappetizing food (overcooked and dry). There are much better places in the Deshaies area. Avoid at all cost!
