Whenever we are in the Bruck/Mur area we make a point of having a meal at Riegler! True Austrian hospitality with delightful food. The atmosphere is old fashioned excellent ambience makes one want to stay and stay to enjoy the wine, food. The service is outstanding. They even have a Smoker Section. On the terrace you have a delightful view of the river Mur, inside you have a modern section all glassed in and in the traditional part of the restaurant you are transported back to the days of yore!

We had a very nice, three-course dinner on traditional Austrian fare. Our table was in the winter garden, a glassed-in extention of the restaurant overlooking the river. The food was well prepared and served in ample portions. The staff was courteous and expedient, and the total cost for two )including beverages) of 80 euros quite satisfactory.

I can only describe the experience as average, although the food is verging on 2.5 stars. Day out from Graz, felt like getting out of the city. Read the reviews and thought I'd try this place. The only way I can describe both the place and experience is average. The service is average. The decor and ambience below average. The staff kept walking through the restaurant and doing circles. Not that attentive, enough of them, very average. Food was really not great. Gemischte Salat was taste less. Goulash not much better, not good. In times of covid rotating baskets of bread rolls from table to table is just unacceptable. Would I go back? No. There aren't many places I say about that, but this is one of them.

Dining well with a view of the Mur

Nice, long-established inn right on Brucker Hauptplatz. Several guest rooms, very pleasant terrace with "multi view" (of the river Mur, which flows immediately past). Large menu with mainly regional products, good wine selection, own house beer on tap. In addition, a daily menu is offered. Very good quality food. Fair prices, nice service. Thank you again!

Oasis in a desert of ice cream parlours.

Arrived in Bruck on a sunny June Sunday to find everything closed , other than this fab restaurant.We had our Sunday lunch and came back for evening dinner. Lovely sun terrace at back overlooking the river . Lovely friendly staff too and great 🍺.😊

Total ripoff be careful!

We had lunch here as a group of four. While two of our meals arrived almost immediately the other two had to wait about half an hour for theirs, so that I was finished before the others even got their food. The bill in the end was a total rip off. We specifically ordered tap water which is normally free in Austria but they charged us for the expensive bottled water which we didn’t even have. We also suspect that the glasses hadn’t been properly cleaned because the water tasted like apple juice... To top it all off they brought us bread to eat with the salmon tartar and told us it was for us and then proceeded to charge us for every single piece of bread eaten. This place is definitely trying to rip off tourists so be careful if you chose to eat there. The waitress will also try to push you to order a salad with every meal which they will charge you for. The quality of food is passable but definitely overpriced and we were very disappointed how rudely we’ve been treated. Definitely won’t be going there again.

We are living abroad and visit family and friends once a year in Bruck. It is always a pleasure to have a gathering in Rieglers and always get great food, friendly service for a very reasonable price.

The restaurant has an old-fashioned style and has a great atmosphere. The prices are acceptable and the food is delicious. If you are in Bruck i think once you have to try it ;) I was very happy, that on the menu was a lot of food of pumpkin :) They also speak hungarian and english as well. The waiters are friendly.

What a great place

What a great place. You have several seating choices. One can sit in a traditional gasthaus atmospheres, a modern restaurant, or a delightful terrace. Plenty of menu choices at fair prices. My zander ( pike/perch ) filet was perfect as was the pork schnitzel and breaded porcini mushrooms. They have english menus and take credit cards. The standards are high in this family run business.

We stopped here on the way to Hallstatt and I asked two separate people who both pointed us to this restaurant! If you're looking for great views and fresh and tasty local food when you come to the right place! We were in a group of eight and they accommodated us with only a few minutes of confusion since we didn't have a reservation. We sat outside overlooking the river and the views were spectacular near the mountains. We are eight people who are very opinionated and each person came away licking their fingers and thinking that this was one of the better meals they've had. It certainly certainly helped that the views were great and the waitstaff had everything delivered in timely fashion! This was the first day of our week in Austria and hope we can find other places like this!

We had a very pleasant lunch at the garden of this restaurant which we enjoyed it very much. The scenery was very pleasing and food was very tasty. Service was very good and professional. I think it is a must for visitors to Burck/Mur area.
