This restaurant was a short walk from where we were staying and it lived up to it's rating. A simple limited menu well executed. We ate outside with our 2 dogs and the meal was lovely and relaxed. The staff very helpful and friendly with the chef's husband a real character. The emphasis on local produce really worked.

Beautiful meal and very kind about our lack of French. My advice would be to order the cheese, we didn't and regretted it once we saw the cheese trolley, many incredible looking cheeses. Great view, happy staff, we would recommend eating here!

we ate here on an overnight stop to the south. The restaurant is quirky, arty and stylish, and the menu echoes that. We had the table d'hôte which was really good, using local produce and prepared with great attention to detail - excellent local wines and perfect service. all this served on a balcony overlooking rolling hills as the sun... This is the kind of country restaurant that the Italians still do so well but the French have somehow largely forgotten how to do. There are two outside dining terraces, front and back, but on a warm summer’s evening the small one at the back facing the sunset is definitely the one to kill for. The menus tell you very... More

This restaurant was recommended to us as being good, not cheap but fairly priced. It proved to be all of these things. We chose a table on the terrace on a beautiful evening and were rewarded with fantastic views and a great sunset. The food was excellent and the service pleasant and efficient.

La Ferme Saint-Sébastien is located in Charroux, a charming village in the Allier region of France. Its chef, Valérie Saignie, makes visiting this superb restaurant well worthwhile, especially when it comes to enjoying some of the specialties for which this region is deservingly well known. One of my favorite fixe prix selections is the L'Intemporel, beginning with La triogie de... More

First time we came back to la Ferme since its renovation. We did not feel that many changes occur, with some of the signature dishes still on the menu. Remarkable plateau de fromages, which is very rare those days. Very pleasant service contributed to an enjoyable evening.

Having arrived late in the evening, we were not really expecting to be offered a meal. Not only were we able to eat, but to eat very well too! Good service and helpful comments on the choice of wine all contributed to an enjoyable experience We would like to go back to see the sunset which is apparently staggering viewed... More
