We had the honey chicken and satay chicken plus some spring rolls. All tasted fine, sort of like the Chinese you got with your grandparents as a kid. Probably a bit too pricey for what you get, but not too bad.

As other reviewers have said, the place is very drab and the food nothing special but the young waiter was attentive and we didn't have to wait long for our dinner.

We had satay combination, sesame prawns, fried rice and crunchy noodles. Everything was delicious. Although, as you only get 2prawns in the dish, I would probably just order a beef or chicken or maybe ask if they'll do a combination of both.

Nothing special but the meals came out quickly. Small and drab building though the waitstaff were pleasant :) don't expect anything flash as the sweet and sour pork and the honey chicken looked exactly the same bar a small difference in the colour of the sauces (watery looking and didn't stick to the meat very well). But we didn't get... More

We went for a meal on a Friday night. The restaurant decor is basic but cosy, and the staff friendly. The food was very basic Chinese and not over the top with flavour. The honey chicken and sweet and sour pork where very hard to differentiate except by the sauce.

We ordered take away. sweet and sour pork, fried rice, spring rolls and chicken with cashew. I ended up throwing out the pork. It wasn't enjoyable at all. The rice was ordinary but I would say horrible. Spring rolls were OK and my partner didn't mind the chicken. We would not recommend this place nor eat their again. For a... More

My friends and I dropped by for dinner as we were hankering for a good Chinese meal. We ordered fried rice, sweet and sour pork and combination fried noodles. Service was friendly but unfortunately the food was below par as it lacked authenticity. The fried rice was bland, the sweet and sour pork was covered with a thick batter instead... More

We do take out from there regularly...consistently exactly the same excellent value for money , very good chefs and front of house super polite...its certainly true that the world has a lot to learn from the Chinese. Outstanding and ranks with the claremont chinese restaurant as my faves in tassie for this type of food . Always excellent

After reading the good reviews, we had high expectations - which were not met. We ordered the cashew chicken, Mongolian lamb, sweet and sour pork, fried rice, spring rolls and the beef black bean. All of these dishes were severely lacking in flavour and the spring rolls had an off smell and were filled with an indistinguishable meat. The food... More
