it's closed for good.. I was there n it was dark... I guess due to the Covid19 incident now, and the government restrictions on opening .. there is no choice for many restn.. they hv to close down due to bad or no business

Simple air conditioning single storey wooden structure which served great steamboat soup. The soup base is really wonderful. It is a chinese shop which serves frog meat in various form of cooking style. I have NOT tried bak kut teh here at all, since there is lots more interesting choices available.
Parking is quite limited even though there are plenty of big tables available for big crowd.

Very nice food served at reasonable price range. Weekend i would suggest to call for reservation to avoid any disappointment

Bkt here is basically salty kicap soup. Dont bother order. Other food so so. Lady who took our order also dont bother recommending food. No menu given and asked what we want to eat. WONT GO BACK!

I revisited this restaurant after more than 5 years ago with my friends. It is an old established seafood restaurant specialising in steamed fish and prawns. We ordered the haruan slice, vege and bak kut teh. They together with red chilis and chopped garlic. The haruan fish was thinly sliced and well steamed. The bak kut teh soup was decent but nothing really special. Price for two of us came to be around RM60 which was a tad on the high side given the small size of the dishes.

Seri kembangan area is famous for some exotic dishes such as frog meat, ikan haruan. Yap yin serves all these dishes. One dish i would to recommend is the freshwater prawns cooked in premium suop with yellow Chinese wine. The prawns are 75% cooked then the dish is covered in thin foil in a pot. Then the pot is served together with a portable gas stove. The waiter will open the foil to cook the prawns to the right texture. The aroma of yellow wine fills the atmosphere. The gas stove will keep the soup in piping hot. However during this visit the prawns were rather small for the price we paid for. The place is airconditioned but ambience is new village kopitiam style.

We decided to pay another visit to Yap Yin but this time only tthe two of us. Nothing much has changed from our previous visit. Still the same decades old basic interior, fixtures & fittings. The food standard has been maintained and both dishes we ordered were tasty & perfectly cooked. The Kung Pou style eel was a tad sweet but bearable while the eel was bouncy and fresh. The steamed haruan fish slices was equally delicious and not over-steamed in any way.
The only setback was the price which we still found to be too much for a simple eatery located within the boundaries of an aged township like Seri Kembangan. The price for our 2 dishes came up to almost RM60. That to us, was more typically a city centre price range. Not for an such eatery and definitely not worth braving through the traffic madness just getting here.

We we 2 person looking for crab seafood in Seremban but end up in Seri Kembangan as could not really find one good choice. We decided to try local SK Restaurant beside the secondary mainroad pf SK. Slice Fish with herbs soup, Mixed Braised Pork Hand with Chicken Leg and spares, 1 Fried Lotus Root and Green Beans.
It is tasty and out of this world when compare with many restaurant we aye before. Simplest setting, no scenery but lets concentrate on food ordered. Wow. Will come back for more dishes. Price is worth it.

We have been dining at this restaurant for years now and while I really can't complain much about the food be it taste or freshness, I do feel compelled to state that the prices has been on a steep ascend year on year. We always end up ordering the same portion and same favourite dishes or ours & what used to cost us in a range of RM50 to RM60 just 3-4 years ago is now costing us RM100 to RM120 each visit. While I understand the rising cost of living but still this is way too steep especially considering the location is in the urban area of Seri Kembangan & operating out of what used to be a house.
