We stopped here for lunch last Saturday and ate some incredible food (the Steak Pie was amazing) whilst enjoying the fantastic view. The children had a great time playing in the beer garden and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely come back again.

The Howley Tavern is tucked away down a narrow country lane, but is well worth searching out. We were a party of 12 staying down the road at Sheafhayne Manor and decided to eat out on our last night. Food and drink were great. I had a lovely pan fried duck, but everyone else enjoyed their meals. Particularly recommended was... More

We recently had a family meal for 13, all the meals were very good, I can definitely recommend the sirloin steak. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. We have been there a few times before and have always had a lovely meal. Sunday lunch is very good too!! If you haven't been, I would definitely recommend going.

The atmosphere was warm and friendly with good ale and an excellent lunch menu ( the dinner menu looked very appealing too). We both had home made steak and ale pie which was actually a slice of proper pie rather than a... More

Greeted by Steve who was vey friendly. Ordered 3 meals. One very fussy child was well catered for and even changed the menu for her with delicious food. The roast dinner was plentiful and well cooked. The salmon was very tasty and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Very good selections of deserts of which I can recommend the cheeseboard....
