Went for lunch today, worst food ever. Ordered fish finger sandwich and burger. The fish fingers were cold and uncooked in middle, burger was the same. Chips were cold, soggy and looked days old. Both dishes of food were returned. On the second time of serving the burger was still not cooked properly and was cold in the middle. The... More

Hi My Duty Manager that was working that day has just reported this to me as I have been away from the pub.. Firstly I apologize that the standard of food did not meet your expectations, our food is temperature checked both when cooked and served so I don't Understand how this could have happened especially when the fish fingers... A dog friendly pub in Tynemouth. Good value pub grub. £13.95 for lunch and 2 drinks. Excellent! My partner was impressed with the men's loos. Only downside, service from staff could have been a bit more pleasant and friendly.

I come here loads and everything about this place is great, apart from the toilets! They are the worst toilets in Tynemouth. They were disgusting with broken seats, blocked and generally a mess. There was a refurbishment what was definitely needed and the men's and ladies got swapped. It's a job half done in my opinion they are still not... More

Hi, Thank you for your comments we appreciate any feed back. The toilets/ pots that are installed throughout the ladies and gents are designed so that the seats and pot are as one therefore no need for a normal toilet seat that you would lift. This has been done so because as a company we were spending hundreds of pounds... More

Absolutely love this place. Very welcoming for dogs even providing treats, water bowls and covers so that they can sit on the seat next to you. The food is absolutely excellent every time i go. The staff are always very friendly. The service is good. Nice inside and in general a really decent pub. Top marks from me

Previously eaten fish and chips here and was willing to come back and sample the same as it was so nice. Lovely atmosphere, staff and clearly very popular with locals and visitors. If you have a dog, it will be welcome!

Took partner and grandkids for Sunday lunch in sunny and bustling Tynemouth. We like the town despite the fact it's heaving pretty much year-round...! The Priory is really lovely. Yes, very doggy, but I don't notice the wall of dog smell others seem to complain of. Staff are quick to offer water bowls and dog biscuits. Friendly, polite and efficient... More

We call in this pub for lunch every few weeks and are never disappointed. Wide selection on the menu from snacks to full meals and also a great selection of beers, lagers and real ales. The 3 course winter warmer lunch at just £6.95 is great value!
