Me and family members went to Grandma Pollards on a Tuesday lunchtime. We went to the shop to give our order and went and sat on the bus to eat it. We each had a small fish, chips and mushy peas, with bread and butter and endless tea. It was brought by cheerful waitresses who kept filling our tea cups.... More

A decent chippy... heard it had won "chippy of the year" a few years back so popped in. Not overwhelmed. Busy, so fish was cooked fresh which was good but straight onto paper and into carry bag thus meaning no time to drain oil or crisp up under lights in warmer. When home and unwrapped batter all stuck to paper... More

It's a shame this place feels like it is losing its way. The fish was excellent but judging by the chips there must be another potato famine. A few oversized chips doesn't amount to a portion. I'm hoping it finds its old form as it used to be fantastic.

I've been visiting for well over 10 years after stumbling upon this little Gem on my way to Gordon Rigg garden centre. Whenever I have time off work, we make the 40 mile round trip for my favourite chippy lunch. The home made rag (steak) puddings are to die for, as are the chips cooked in beef dripping with the... Great british chippy!!! Plenty of room to sit. Friendly staff , great food. Be nice to sit out by the canal in summer. Only 1 draw back, when eating in you have to go outside and into the takeaway shop to order.

We've been before and this time remembered the wonderful cakes and pasties on offer. A friendly welcome and the most wonderful large vanilla slices washed down with coffee was the order of the day.

I've tried all the chippies in Tod and I have to say this is simply the best... Tony's whole ethos is based around making his customers feel special and he succeeds! Top quality fish freshly delivered daily, homemade pies to die for, chips, and the best peas and gravy! If you don't want to sit in the restaurant, there's an... More

I stumbled over this eatery, a short way of out of Todmorden whilst looking around the town for somewhere to eat and was not disappointed. Much of the food is locally sourced and freshly made and the staff are smartly turned out. It is not a cheap fish and chip place, but the food was very tasty and fresh and... More

Description
This is not an ordinary chip shop. There is a lovely resturant or an old bus to dine in. In summer eat outside or by the canal.Childrens menu and wide range of meat pies and puddings available. The vanilla slices are great as wellaethe fruit pies All home made. All avilable with tea/coffee, bread and butter. Just go in the chp shop, order and the meal is brought to you at your table. The service is excellent. It is an experience to dine in the bus usually accompanied by 60s/70s music in the backgrund. The bus can be hired for private parties. The shop is open Mon. and Tues till 3.30pm and Wed.Thurs.and Fri. till 8pm. Not open Sat and Sun. It really is an experience (very good one), and well worth a visit. The place is spotless. We have been going many years now and there .are many regulars. I would recommend the chippy for a very enjoyable experience.
