When the Owners go out of their way to produce a faultless Dining Experience which so expertly takes into account the personal preferences of their Guests the single regret is that they have been running their brilliant Business for thirty years and we only discovered them twenty eight years ago! Thank you David and Clive for providing such an excellent... More

Old World fine dining. Set menu is a bit pricey but excellent food and service. Same long-serving owners who have maintained a high level over the years. Recommend.

This restaurant is run by two guys who are utterly charming. Their service is exceptional professional discreet mixed with funny quips..the food is just so good there are not enough adjectives to discribe it. My advice is go try it yourself you won't be disappointed! Book well in advance it gets booked up.

We went to Crossways to celebrate various birthdays and retirements. At £41 a head + drinks the value for money is excellent, with all ingredients sourced locally from named suppliers. Excellent little sage muffins and hot biscuits to nibble as you peruse the menu. A good range of starters explained personally by Clive, a soup of the day, a nice... More

We stayed at the hotel for a 'Gourmet Offer'. The 4 course meal followed by coffee and petit fours was excellent as were the service and atmosphere. Breakfast was also excellent. The stay was very good value and we would certainly go again.

We had dinner here with friends who live locally. This is a charming, very comfortable restaurant. Our meal was delicious using fresh good quality ingredients. The smoked haddock cheesecake was outstanding and the smoked duck and nectarine salad was generous and flawless. Our racks of lamb were succulent and cooked to a turn. The generous selection of fresh vegetables was... More

A warm welcome always awaits you from the resident proprietors Clive James and David Stott or one of their team of loyal helpers. Now in their 22 year at Crossways they continue to welcome old and new friends to their small Georgian country house Restaurant with Rooms.
