Wished they still opened at lunchtime, but evening is great too. Pleasant out of town atmosphere, free parking, great service. Lots of great restaurants try and fail to do cocktails, but here the opposite is true - great range of trad and new cocktails with...More

The place itself is easy to book, easy to find and lovely inside with polite, helpful staff explaining the menu/dishes to first timers like us... Good choice of dishes/drinks on offer, prices are not cheap but by no means overpriced for an award winning restaurant...More

we've done specialist vegetarian restaurants before but never one like the excellent Prashads. Arriving for what was either a late lunch or an early dinner at around 6pm we it was already starting to get busy with several customers already eating and by seven the...More

Great staff and food really good but got crammed into a tight space. The dosa really good and the overall flavours amazing - really good Indian food spicy but not hot and full of flavour.

My second visit, this time with two work colleagues, was as enjoyable as the first. All our food was, without exception, delicious and beautifully presented. My only criticism is of the quantity of food presented, which was too much for all of us. It was...More

What does make an Indian meal spectacular and stand out from the average? After all, the food that gets served in most Indian restaurants is for the most part variations on curry, albeit with different emphasis on style.....savoury versus creamy, spicy versus mild.We all know...More

Had a lovely meal here. Quite expensive but very nicely cooked and well presented. It hasn’t convinced me to become vegetarian but I did like the variety and it tasted good. Waiters were attentive and the atmosphere was convivial. Would eat here again.

I went to the restaurant for my birthday treat. Spotlessly clean. Warm welcome. The best dishes are the chaat (complimentary) and masala dosa, although the chole and the spinach and potato curry were beautiful. We were encouraged to buy 2 thali for 3 people, but...More

The food, on the whole, was very nice. It was also expensive. £55 for two adults and two kids, no booze. Only one person on front of house for most of the time we were there and he was a bit rushed off his feet,...More

Ooh! That's a good question. It's in quite an unusual location so may be tricky via public transport.

If you tell them you wouldn't like any dish with peas they would make the thali that way. You can request the kind of dish that you would like to have. They usually keep guests request.

Description
Prashad is an award winning Indian vegetarian restaurant in the heart of West Yorkshire. It is based in a renovated pub building in Drighlington, which has been transformed into an intimate and vibrant Gujarati eaterie. It features a large bar area where the in-house mixologist serves up perfectly-matched cocktails, locally-brewed beers and wines with roadside snacks and Indian tapas. There are three different dining areas and a snug that can be individually booked for private parties. The open pass kitchen brings the passionate Head Chef and her team closer to the customers. In the last 12 months alone we have been awarded the Morrisons Magazine Great Grub Award 2013, the Yorkshire Life Chef of the Year 2013 (which Minal and Kaushy won jointly), the Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand 2014, and the Yorkshire Evening Post Oliver Awards Best Indian Restaurant 2014!
