Had a very average cheese and Parma ham roll when we arrived at lunchtime. Went back as we only wanted something light for dinner and this seemed to be the only place to get an omelette which was very over cooked and rubbery.

We loved this place! Lovely staff, a really good choice of local food - we sampled locro, a hearty local stew - and a great atmosphere. Good value, too. The decor is fascinating, plenty to look at, so much memorabilia reflecting the owner's trips around Argentina. It's right in the town centre, you can't miss it.

There are a few places to choose from to fill your tummy in Cachi, however this place is a favourite. There are always travellers/tourists around and it a good place to eat or have a few drinks. The owner is has travelled across Argentina and there is a lot of memorabilia from his trips on the walls. If your on... More

Oliver is one of the oldest bar/restaurant establishment in Cachi. Is located by the main and only square and offer an excellent selection of drinks and snacks or dinner with a special sense of humour and friendly touch. Very affordable and perfect for a stop after a long day driving.

We stopped there as we didn't want to drop at the place recommended by the guide, nothing against that place, it's just that we fancy choosing by ourselves. We found a place on the lovely terrace and ordered a simple meal: Empenadas, lentil soup and beer. As said, simple but efficient. Empenadas where tasteful, and the Lentil soup (andean style)... There are only a handful of restaurants in Cachi, almost all having typical local cuisine such as empanadas, locro, tamales etc. Our first afternoon in town we lunched at Oliver and enjoyed it. We ordered a pizza with goat cheese and tomatoes. The selection of beers and wine was good. The view of the plaza and being able to watch... More

We went three times to Oliver: the first time on the sunny terrace on the main plaza, the 2nd time after diner to drink wine and play some table games and the 3rd time for breakfast. The whole bar is decorated with self-made posters and pictures from Martin Oliver (the owner) who travelled lots of times through Argentina and made... More

This is a pretty good place to grab a pizza and a bottle of wine and watch the world go by, which in Cachi doesn't take too long! The pizza was OK (by Argentinian standards) and the wine list is pretty good and well priced (both by the bottle and by the glass). Service on the night that we were... More
