I love the atmosphere of this cafe. This is a great place to hang out with friend or family. Spaghetti is my favorite. All desserts are recommended. I don’t usually order drink at this cafe, so can’t really comment on this. I will visit this cafe again and again.

I would have given full stars to this cafe if is not for the experience I encountered with the Barista. I ordered : 01 Earl Grey Tea 01 Vanilla Milk 01 Tiramisu 01 Souffle. When my tea was served,I got to know that they do not serve milk with tea.I need to purchase the quater cup of milk if I choosed to drink tea with milk. The cup of tea was RM10. I have been around in the F&B and service industry, no one charges milk for tea...So,The poor waitress who attended to me had to convey my harsh message to the Barista. Is either you serve the milk or the customer will just walk out of the shop. The desserts we ordered was good though.

Great molten lava and matcha drink. Coffee was great too. You can skip the chocolates drinks though. Would have given them 4 stars if they let customer sit on the sofa, instead of treating it as a display item. It is on "Reservation" that never came. Wanted to have a nice seat especially after 2hours drive to reach this cafe. The only disappointment which shouldn't have happened.

In small town like Maur we walk into a cafe which is very nice but idiots talking on the phone video call for the entire cafe to hear. Enjoyed the cake and coffee until this idiots being so rude and nasty inconsiderate of other customers.

My favorite cafe. A small but cozy and well decorated place. The barista works his best and patiently in every cup of coffee to be served. Price may be on higher side compared to the rest cafe in Muar. But it is definitely worth for the quality and service you have.

Cafe 1988 is a nice and cozy cafe - it should be known the best cafe in Muar town. Despite a small cafe, food is fabulous. We ordered a cup of hot matcha and a must-not-miss Matcha x Chocolate Molten Cake (aka Lava cake). They are awesome for the price of RM29 (RM13 for the cup of hot matcha, and RM16 for the cake). The cafe serves beautiful Japanese curry rice and fusion food. The interior is well decorated and everything looks nostalgic and beautiful. I will definitely dine in this beautiful cafe when I revisit this town.

Only had dessert, but i tried almost all their matcha goodies and was not disappointed. Especially love the matcha lava cake!! The matcha coffee was very unique too. Yes, the cafe is kinda small with limited seats, but that makes it all the more quaint and special. Not recommended if you are coming in a big group though. Arrived at 2pm on a Sunday there was no one, but by the time i was leaving at 2.45pm it was packed. Look out for the cute grandpa who brews and does all the coffee art personally, he's the owner's father i heard!

I am very impressed with this little cafe in Muar. The decor is simple and yet very classy. This cafe serves very nice food and drinks too. Staffs are very friendly and the whole establishment is extremely well kept. The only set back is that parking can be quite a challenge.

the coffee taste nice. the cafe space is very limited. the food and drinks are over pricey for a small town. this cafe is neither located in Kuala Lumpur, nor in the main Muar town area, personally think the price is abit too high. not a place i will visit weekly for friends gathering.

Was a cosy little house well decorated. We order thier souffe and cuppa Americano. Other then pastries and coffee there is many other option to choose on like cheese cake, spegetties and baked rice. Would love to try thier other food in thier menu on my next trip. Overall the pastries and coffee was good as never expect that to be in muar. The price was reasonable and the ambience was a food place to relax and chill.

We used the nearby function in TripAdvisor looking for late dinner/early supper option and found this place. The Tomato Curry Katsu was amazing, chocolate freddo was good and the New York cheesecake! It's like a gem, small, pretty and precious!
