We ate here one night. The food is not of very good quality. They (the staff) are in a rush with serving the food. The place of the restaurant is nice. I will not advise you to eat here.

This is not the best place in town, but certainly not the worst either! The service is fast and friendly, the location picture perfect but the food is below Sardinian standard. So don't expect to much and give it a go if you walk by.

Worth a visit; seafood pasta with black tagliatelle was delicious. Staff friendly and (thankfully) English speaking. Certainly recommend

This restaurant looks exactly like what you would want from an Italian trattoria. It's in a perfect location in a small square, just off the main piazza, complete with red and white checked table cloths and friendly staff. It is such a shame because the food just doesn't live up to the expectations and is decidedly average. If you really... More

Very local, Italian restaurant. The food is ok, house win could improve. The old chairs was uncomfortable, but maybe it is a part of the plan.

We were terribly under impressed with our experience at La Taverna. We ordered a mixed appetizer with "cibo di terra" that was supposed to come with a variety of cured meats and cheeses.Given that Sardegna is well known for their cheese, we were particularly looking forward to trying the selection in this dish. The plate came out with mixed salumi... More

A very nice restaurant wirh a typical italian atmosphere in the center of Orosei. We were very happy for the shaded places. The stuff was very friendly and translated the whole menu into english :) The food was excellent, prices quite OK for this quality and location. A little surprice was the couvert for 7,50 €. But still worth a... More

We happened upon La Taverna and things looked promising. The restaurant is in a charming location and was busy (nearly always a good sign). We ordered the antipasti starter to share between two and the Gnocchi and porcheddu mains. The gnocchi was bland and tasteless and the pork was not fresh but had been cooked in advance and reheated. Sadly... More

Good value: pizza, pastas and salads all good, friendly service. Daily specials were excellent - we went 2 nights in a row. Great tagliatelle al seppie de nero with bottarga and mussels - favourite dish of our trip!

We ate here twice on our recent visit to Orosei. This place describes its self as "tipico", I have no idea if it is typical but I liked it. The menu is a mix of Sard and wider Italian staples. The food is hearty and full of flavour. Our favourites were the grilled fish - sold at given price not... More
