We had dinner at JD's tonight, it was delicious, we had the special of the day, the seafood & chicken platter, there was shrimp, tuna, chicken breast, potato and christeau, not sure of the spelling, but it is a Lucian veg that tastes like cauliflower baked with cheese, it was amazing! So four of us got the meal which included... More

You are paying for the view as the food is less than memorable. We would not go back. Take what you would have spent here and at Doolittles and go to Rainforest. You'll be glad you did.

My family dined with friends at JD's Mangrove on an early February visit to St. Lucia and Marigot Bay. The arrival experience is unique in that the restaurant actually sits out over the bay, and is accessible only by a short ferry (free) ride. The setting is truly memorable at the back end of the bay among mangroves - looking... More

We had a wonderful 3-course dinner there. You can only reach the restaurant by boat (which is really unique). Overall, had a wonderful meal - the highlight was the flaming dessert =)

We recently stayed in Marigot Bay for 6 days which allowed us to try most of the restaurants there. JD's was by far the most disappointing. The menu is very limited, expensive and poor value based on portion sizes. My husband ordered two appetizers as his meal. The grilled shrimp appetizer consisted of two very small shrimp over a dollop... More

Firstly to say that you can get to Jd's Mangrove by car from the Castries - Soufriere road. JD is at the end of a pretty rough, but made up road, along with a hotel and other restaurant / bar. We visited and just requested juice drinks, we were surprised at the cost, based on the menu the cost should... More
