Nice lunch

As a solo traveller I often seem to be forgotten at some restaurants and this was unfortunately the case here. I had to wait quite a while for my order to be taken, the restaurant wasn’t busy, and I suppose a smile from the waiter was too much to expect. I ordered a glass of wine which never appeared. When my starter was delivered by a very smily, cheery waitress I asked for a wine and this one did arrive. The food was lovely, I had garlic prawns to start (delicious), stuffed ravioli for the main (yum) and an ice cream to finish. Trying to gain serving staff’s attention to order a second wine and water was harder than it should’ve been. All in all, lovely food and pleasant enough experience, with inattentive service. I wasn’t in a rush so it didn’t cause any issues, just a little frustrating and often happens when I’m eating in restaurants alone.

Good food and location, let down by unfriendliness

I normally have a very good solomillo (fillet steak), but my wife and I shared a vegetarian paella this time, which was excellent - the best one we've had on the island. The location is great - right by the promenade for people watching and views of the marina. The only drawback is the waiter who normally serves you is incredibly unfriendly (even though we speak Spanish). He is the same one we've seen during several winter holidays here. But for him, it would have been 5 stars. The lady who actually brought us the paella was very friendly and pleasant - what a shame she's the only one!

Sorry not to be more effusive, but this was just fine. Nothing special. Basic Italian grub served by not so friendly staff. We both had pizza, but a shop bought pizza and baked at home would have been more special. Nothing to complain about, but neither would we recommend especially or have considered returning for another visit during our holiday.

We ate here a couple of times, but were not impressed at all. Despite my allergy to onions which was fully explained, one meal I was served had onions hiding under the lettuce. Clearly the chef paid no attention to instructions given! Other than that, the food which was served had absolutely nothing to recommend it so we did not return

Brilliant restaurant

Great mix of local and Italian cuisine. Staff are friendly, accommodating and great fun. Honestly they can’t do enough for you including phoning taxis at the end of your night etc. The seafood is fresh, cooked to perfection and very tasty. The pizzas are proper Italian style with a wood oven and they are willing to make up personal ones that aren’t on the menu. We went as a couple and while the restaurant is incredibly family friendly the staff made a point of sitting us away from the children in a kind of informal adults area. If you’re looking for a good wholesome meal I can’t recommend it enough.

Shocking!

From the outside the restaurant looked inviting. Unfortunately, it quickly went down hill from there. We ordered our food; starters took 30 mins to arrive. The croquettes where typically processed frozen balls, I had to send them back as they were still frozen inside. For the main, I ordered cannelloni; absolutely vile! Again processed pink meat, didn’t want to kick up a fuss by sending another meal back so just left it. When we asked for the bill, the waiter did not ask how our food was (probably too scared). My husband asked what his thoughts were serving frozen food. His reply was; you are in lanzerote! You come on holiday and expect sun, sometimes it rains. Sometimes our food is cold as we store it in the fridge. What a shocking and embarrassing analogy. Never have I eaten in such an awful place. Do not waste your money!!! Awful awful awful; dreading the after affect 🤢🤢🤢

Shocking rude service went for my birthday and what a disappointment,my husband ordered sea bass think it must have been on a diet with 4very small potatoes.i asked for the grilled chicken stroganoff and waiter bluntly replied NO it’s beef to which I replied you advertise this on your awnings he walked off in the back to return and say it’s ok .when it arrived it was in a red sauce stroganoff is cream and wine it tasted ok so I did eat it I dare not send it back but other people were sending there’s back because there meals were cold . We had a bottle of wine and one other female waitress threw the desert menus on the table to which I said no way was I going to stay any longer we duly paid NO TIP !! Avoid there are better restaurants than this on the Marine we would not return..

Not a menu but a catalogue of frozen food. Announced fresh fish on the front but couldn’t have any. Pour Italian choice lots of paella. Is paella a colour ? Because the shellfish paella is served with 2 mussel 2 shrimp and a bucket of gluey rice. I had a salad : few bits of carrot 3 slice of cucumber one half of tomato probably grown north Europe - floury, no taste no sweetness. We went next door for pudding !

Lovely Margherita Pizza

We've been here a few times and it's always a pleasant experience. There's a slight price markup on the food, due to the location, however we prefer to pay a little bit extra when we know we're getting a good meal. The Margherita is freshly made and it's of great quality. The fries are cooked perfectly too. We will be back again

Expected much better from a restaurant in a stunning location.

Lovely spot overlooking stunning harbour in puerto calero. Unfortunately the service & food were poor. My friend had a very bland pepperoni pizza with strange taste of orange. I had an unusual cut of grilled salmon, very little actual fish meat & spent most of the meal picking bones out of it. Probably the poorest grilled salmon I have had. Then mentioned the bones to the waitress who said ' no there's no bones' & walked off with a plate full of bones. Needless to say not recommended & will not be returning.

Poor food, embarrassing service.

Sent my so called Sirloin steak back, really poor. Full of fat, over cooked and tasted off. The cream sauce is not right either, They took it away immediately after I complained, as if they knew and offered me a replacement straight away which was good. One or two of servers are ok, one feels like he hates everyone and a lady who I’m sorry is just not up to the job at all. She is dreadful., not welcoming and takes your eating utensils away constantly after another waiter has just set them! She did this twice! The surroundings and actual restaurant is lovely. Pizza bread was extremely dry, mussels average. Very disappointed for my last night on the island. Such a shame.

Excellent in every way

On our second night here in Puerto Calero, we strolled along the Marina, perusing all the restaurant menus, before deciding on this quiet Italian restaurant. The menu is mainly fish based. Bruschetta, sea bass, and chicken were our choices. Each segment was beautifully cooked and presented. It was washed down with an excellent champagne sangria. One to visit again, and savour not only the food, but the quiet calm of the marina - an extra bonus for us who visited in February in that there was overhead infra-red heating.

Authentic and good value pizza

The pizza was a good size and very authentic. The salad at €8.50 was more than a side salad so it was good for sharing. Goats cheese and walnut - really well put together and tasty. The squid was piping hot and can’t have been long from the catch so fresh did it appear. This restaurant can be throughly recommended.

Poor. I asked for a description of the Caesar salad, I was told to look at the menu. The salad consisted of a few strips of fried, dried chicken, lettuce, tomato and a dollop of mayo. It was tasteless. No one came to check if the food was OK. I asked for the bill, a waiter cursory nodded, so I asked again-the waiter then smirked and asked if I wanted one or two bills

Appalling. Won’t be back.

Ate here last night and definitely won’t be back. The food was abysmal, and that’s putting it politely. I have eaten better in the Greasy Joes section of various motorway cafes. To add insult to injury, the service was carried out by the most sullen group of people I have seen in a long time. A smile and a chatty approach would make a huge difference. The owners of this place need to take a long hard look at the quality of their offering, and give their team a reason to feel good about working there.
