Great indian restaurant

Short but sweet message , do not miss a meal hear fantastic food , staff first class, had tikka chicken sizzler, the rest of family had various starters mains, extras, all said scrumptious would give 10/10 . We stayed in secret spa resort, taxi to Puerta Calero 4 euros, asked at reception 5 mins they,5 min drive , plenty bars Mc Sorleys Guinness lush Cocktails strong,just ask any of them to phone taxi they drop you off same place pick up or you can walking 12 mins from Spa resort path alway down but not for disabled bit steep and a few steps .Bollywood 6 course early bird menu about 10 euro must try this next we there served till 6 30pm.

Simply The Best!

This is now our favourite Indian in Puerto Calero, and not just because it consistently serves up excellent Indian cuisine. The main reason we return time after time on a weekly basis is because of the amazing staff. Jishaw, Aneel, Rupesh and Hitisch are always there making you feel valued and welcome. Their service is exceptional. We have of course tried the majority of the dishes on the menu and they are all superb, you will not be disappointed. Our favourites are the flavours of the Karahi, Rogón Josh, Dhansak and Jalfrezi. They also do a fantastically well balanced Madras. We favour the prawns with these dishes as unlike some restaurants they are a good size. Another favourite is the Chicken Shashlick. Served with the hot sauce its truly a delight, and with enough to share it makes it excellent value too. Not only are the food, staff and service amazing the location is too, with stunning views across the marina in the afternoon and warm ambient lighting at night. And for those cooler winter evenings they have the patio heaters burning away to keep you nice and toasty. Can’t praise them enough. Consistency is everything and this place has it running through its DNA, from the kitchen to the front of house. Highly recommended.

Delicious food, excellent service, lovely location

We were excited to see that Bollywood had opened a new Indian restaurant in Puerto Calero as we have eaten at their other restaurants around the island and always enjoyed the excellent food and great service they always provide. We were not disappointed! The restaurant is tastefully decorated with lovely views across the marina. The staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I love the lamb Chandigarh sizzler, which wasn’t on the menu, but the chef said he would make one especially for me and it was delicious. We also ordered popadoms with chutneys, sheesh kebab, chicken tikka madras, garlic rice and butter nan bread. Every meal was tasty, the curry dishes had lovely rich sauces, the portion sizes were really good and the nan bread was excellent! We didn’t feel at all rushed and really enjoyed the ambience and our dining experience here. If you are visiting Calero and love Indian cuisine, we would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

Smashing Indian meal. Would highly recommend

Me and my partner went here on 6/8/22 what a delightful meal. We had 2 starters, prawn and chicken purée then we shared a lamb chilli masala hot with pilau rice chilli and garlic Nan and 2 popadoms. The lamb chilli masala came on a sizzling platter and the lamb melted in your mouth absolutely gorgeous even the popadoms were crisp and we had a nice bottle of wine to wash down the meal. Everything you want for a perfect meal. We have been to Mumbai masala a couple of times over the years and I would recommend Bollywood Indian restaurant over this any day better than any meal we have had at Mumbai. Will definitely return for another meal.

Exceptional food and service

We’ve visited this restaurant twice so far on our holiday. We absolutely cannot fault the food, one of the best Indian restaurants we have visited and the hospitality from the staff is second to none. Highly recommended from a family with two young children.

The best Indian food EVER!!!

I don’t very often write reviews, but the food here was so good that I just had to. There are two Indian restaurants in Puerto Calero Bollywood being fairly new. We have tried both and although the other restaurant it good, Bollywood is excellent! The quality of the produce, the portion size, value for money, the taste and the friendly staff are just some of the reasons recommend you try this Indian restaurant - you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Puerto Calero.

first class quality restaurant with amazing food and service

Having visited puerto calero for many years for the winter, it was a bit of a surprise to find another indian restaurant had opened since our visit in March last year. Our first visit to the restaurant was in December and we became regular diners every week for the 12 weeks we stayed in calero. the food was amazing, delicious with individual unique flavours in every dish that we tried. The breads and rices are light and tasty. Service was always first class and would recommend giving it a try if you are ever visiting the marina, Can't wait until we return for this winter, many thanks to the chefs and front of house staff my favourite, 3 chapatis, chicken madras . 😊

Excellent food and service

This was a birthday treat for my partner and we weren't disappointed. Friendly and efficient staff, delicious food and an experience thoroughly enjoyed by both of us. The Chashni curry that my partner ordered was slightly spicier than he was comfortable with and this was quickly picked up by our waiter, 'H', who removed it and brought it back minutes later, with the addition of a little cream to take the heat out of it, with a much happier other half as a result. Added was a complimentary warm chocolate brownie dessert, in lieu of a birthday cake, and we spent most of the afternoon sitting in the sun, happy and replete. My lamb sizzler had the most tender, non-fatty lamb pieces ever and the size of the rice portions is deceiving, there is more than enough for one person in each bowl. Certainly a better experience than in some Indian restaurants back in the UK.

Amazing

This was an indescribable experience, the service was amazing and the food just surpassed all expectation. Me and my girlfriend are still nearly speachless 2 hours after the meal at how impressed and satisfied we are. If you are visiting lanzarote I implore you to visit Bollywood Indian tandoori and curry restaurant I promise you will not be disappointed

Our favourite Indian Restaurant in Lanzarote

We have consistently had fantastic tasty food with excellent service. We come here weekly and for celebrations with friends and have always been impressed and warmly welcomed. I can recommend any of the dishes and I like to try something different and I’m always impressed … which sometimes makes choosing a meal difficult! The children love the Korma and onion bajee. We love the prawn puree starter which is very generous and tasty and the mango curry with chicken and Kashmiri rice. We enjoy the relaxed happy atmosphere and the staff are very helpful and kind to us. The food and drinks arrive quickly. The view over the gorgeous marina and the dining tables make it our happy place to enjoy and relax. Which is what it’s all about. We do recommend to go, you won’t be disappointed! Delicious Indian Cuisine

If you are looking for delicious, authentic Indian cuisine, then visit Bollywood Indian Restaurant in Puerto Calero with it’s lovely views over the marina. The welcome is warm and friendly with ample seating both on the terrace and inside the restaurant. Once seated our drinks were brought out quickly and we were given plenty of time to peruse the varied menu which includes all of the favourites as well as a ‘specials’ menu. We chose popadoms and pickle tray as a starter (if you enjoy spicy onion chutney, this is a great one)! For our main course we opted for lamb madras and lamb curry with pilau rice. Both dishes were flavoursome with lovely thick sauces and great layers of spicing throughout. The lamb was cooked to perfection… delicious! We can’t wait to return. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The food, atmosphere, surroundings are top class. Forget small chunks of meat in a brown sauce! Here they create delicately spiced dishes with all fresh ingredients. No frozen vegetables. We have tried many dishes in the 4 times we have been and everything is perfect. The staff are lovely too! Definately a bonus for Puerto Calero to have this chain of restaurants in the Port.

Having visited Imagine India in Playa Blanca several times every year, we decided to give Bollywood, its new sister Restaurant in Puerto Calero a go. Wow - it was definitely worth the visit. Incredible food, fantastic service , beautiful views across the Marina and great staff. The owner is so passionate about his Restaurants and you will not be disappointed. An absolute must visit if you are going to Puerto Calero!!!

Not to be missed Indian cuisine

Visited on 2 occasions, Tuesday and Friday, the second being my birthday! The staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. Food cooked to a very high standard on both occasions with generous portions and served to a very high standard. I would like to thank the staff for the impromptu rendition of 'happy birthday' and the cake with obligatory candle. We highly recommend you visit this excellent restaurant *****
