A Mossegades is a restaurant located close to the Ronda Ibérica street in Vilanova i la Geltrú. It is an excellent restaurant, which we discovered some months ago and we came again this last month to lunch. We shared croquettes and a salad as first dish (excellent) and a black rice as a second one (excellent again). My daughter ate cannelloni and an ice-cream, also fantastic. We were inside the restaurant and at the end, we decided to drink the coffee and the dessert outside, in a very nice terrace with a little children park, where my daughter could play. Fantastic place to come all family!

Excellent weekend menu in Vilanova!

A mossegades is a new restaurant located near Ronda Ibèrica in Vilanova i la Geltrú, a coastal town 50km far from Barcelona. We came here to eat a weekend menu and we shared croquettes and mussels, which are excellent. As a main dish, we ate a paella, fantastic. As dessert, strawberries with cream and a cake, and a white wine to drink. A fantastic food, in a very comfortable place and the staff also was very friendly. A great discovery in Vilanova!

A Mossegades is a restaurant located outside the commercial area in Vilanova i la Geltrú, near the road, which surrounds the city. It is a very good restaurant, which you can shared some tapas like Breaded squids with allioli, mussels and croquettes, which were very good. Also, you can eat an excellent paella, we decided to share a seafood paella with prawns. Really, the best part is the paella and you can take away it. Also, I drank a table white wine, which was ok. A very nice place to come with children, because there is a children park just in front of the restaurant, where there is the terrace.

We had two starters to share (calamari and mussels), which were very good and then Iberian paella for 3, with a lot of flavor but without being strong or salty. Two desserts, brownie and cheesecake, also very good. Very good quality-price ratio. Highlight the bright, clean and well-soundproofed premises, where you can eat in a relaxed way. Very friendly staff without being annoying. We will be back

I went last Sunday with my family and some friends and we couldn't leave there more delighted. Exquisite treatment by ALL the staff and exceptional food. Be sure to try the cod tempura because it is amazing. Of the rice I can only tell you about the Iberico with secret and black sausage, which was exquisite. And what to say about the desserts???? We decided on the chucho (which is more of a croissant) filled with nutela and accompanied by ice cream and we are still salivating when talking about it ;) To say that it is a perfect place to go with children since it is in a pedestrian plaza with a park where both from inside the restaurant and on the terrace you always have them under control. Without a doubt, we will repeat as soon as we can!

When the important thing is to eat well, words are unnecessary. Modern place, not very big but with a good terrace and very clean. The attention and service, very attentive and polite. Specializing in rice, but we tried the squid and cod in tempura: magnificent, tempura not oily and just right. Desserts (brownie and tiramisu) also very tasty and well prepared. All accompanied with a good Verdejo. A discovery in Vilanova. Thank you Marisa, congratulations to all your colleagues. Even if we live in Empordà, we will return. Sure.

Fantastic. I don't give it a 5 because there are no tablecloths or any element that makes the space more beautiful... We went to eat rice with lobster which was excellent. Very attentive service. Good recommendations regarding wine and dessert (very original chocolate bread)

Great food in the restaurant where we visit more often. Such friendly service and every dish special. The tartare de tuna was masterful. The wine on the recommendation of the owner, a white rueda was deliciously dry and went well with the dishes. The price of the wine only a few euros above the price on the internet. The sepia croquettes were the best I've ever eaten. The arpacio and the burata were delicious. We haven't gotten around to dessert. Price/quality the best in Vilanova. We will definitely be back here again.

This family run restaurant offers a fabulous lunch menu for 13 euros, which is great value. The place is modern with a lively and friendly atmosphere. We had paella marinera which had lots of sepia and mussels, and was very tasty. We really enjoyed the experience and look forward to returning with family.

What an experience! Fantastic menu, in Spanish and Catalan, soon also to be in English I'm told. The Tuna salad, WOW! Chocolate on bread with olive oil and salt, sounds really wrong, but tastes amazing. Prices are reasonable, but you certainly get what you pay for. Well worth a visit, 10/10

Exquisite cuisine, absolutely amazing!

We were very surprised at the great reviews this place had (#2 on TA) all whilst being a short walk away from my in-laws yet we’d never heard of it. We decided to give it a go. We were not deceived! The place is unpretentious, contemporary and very welcoming. We tried lots of different plates and each one was better than the other. For starters the home-made foie with fig jam which was to die for. Then the suggestion of the day, “favetes saltejades amb gambes, xipirons i pernil” (broad beans sauteéd with prawns, baby squid and Iberic ham). Absolutely delicious and well presented. Then the pumpkin ravioli with pesto and parmigian cheese, so delicate and subtle. And to top it all, the “onglet de vedella” (fillet steak) with pumpkin purée...so yummy! Well accompanied by a Priorat red, Masia Pau, which was sublime. We didn’t have space for dessert but we will be back!

This is a small, familly run restaurant where the are so worry about costumer service and their on in house food. In every trip to Vilanova i la Geltru my family and I we need to visit. Does not matter what to eat: Tapas, set menu or a la carte. Guys, Gracias por vuestra hospitalidad!
