Lisa's Cafe is the friendliest Cafe in town, while others are offering a dull routine comfort; Lisa behaves like an ideal atypical hostess

We popped in for a drink because it looked so atmospheric, got talking to Lisa and learned so much. We told her we were interested in the island's wines, so she invited us to come back the next day and she took time out to take us to visit a couple of wineries (with Humphrey the dog in tow), introducing... A nice find in an otherwise bustling Harbour town, Cafe at Lisa is worth a stop. Although we only had coffee, the warm and genuine welcome we received from Lisa made it worthwhile. She is more than happy to sit and have a chat, offer advice and explain the volunteer work she and others do to help the many stay... More

We avoided the rather pushy 'catchers' outside of all the fish restaurants, and decided on the Cafe as it looked attractive from the outside and didn't have an annoying waiter telling us to come and eat there. The food was more Italian than Turkish, and completely excellent, Lisa sat down and chatted with us for a long while which was... More

Turkey is not the best destination for vegetarians. Here's your Chance to get a good selection of pizza and pasta without meat. Good too, if you grow tired with meze, fish & raki. Had a nice chat with Lisa too. I can't say that the waiters were so bad.

Rotten lettuce in salad, undelivered utensils, missing order items, lacking even few slices of bread... Ordering, delivery of food, and finally payment each takes ages. Very frustrating experience...

It's really a warm and sincere place. The owner of the cafe really helped us about our stay in Bozcaada. We tried two different pizzas (one with shrimp) its taste was really nice. Music inside also is nice. Prizes are reasonable. The owner also suggested the good local wines. It's not fancy like the other ones in the island, i... More

If Lisa, the owner is on the run, the meals are good. But she has a cook now who is inexperienced nowadays. So you can still enjoy your meal there but don't expect great dishes. Coffee meals, pizzas especially are good. Order a glass of wine and enjoy your dinner. Try lemon cheesecakes :)

I arrived in Bozcaada having done little research other than listening to Demetri Kakmi's Motherland on ABC TV (Australia's) radio program about his childhood here. Intriguing enough to make me detour to this off the tourist map island on my way to Istanbul Straight away I felt like Lisa's was the perfect spot to while away the afternoon watching the... More

Lisa was great at helping us find similar wines we really enjoyed, because the island's wines are quite different that what we were used to. We really enjoyed the garlic bread (still thinking about it) and the pizzas. My friend had the spaghetti, but she said it was "okay". The only problem we had was when we sat down outside... More
