The staff are very friendly and will accomodate mixing or changing meals to take into account dietry issues. Limited menu in the bar, where we ate, but all cooked to good standard and of gernerous portions

We dined here 25/4/2017. I had Landisfarne Chicken, my partner had Sea Bass. Both meals were perfectly cooked and substantial. The room is very pleasant, open to non-residents, and roomy. The service was good, and fast (although it was very quiet at the time).

We spent four evenings at the hotel for our meals. The greeting was very good along with the service received. The menu contained a selection of foods which were well cooked, well presented and of good quality. If you are wanting something with chips, then go for it, the chips were some of the best we have had. The dessert... More

We ate here on the bank holiday Monday at the start of May. The food was OK - but my fish and chips was advertised outside as being £8.95 but on the menu inside it was £9.95. It was a small piece of fish in batter with the skin left on, and not very tasty. The chips were large, and... More

The Queens Head has a large, traditional style of public bar that is both cosy and comfortable. The service was professional and very friendly. The beer was good as was the atmosphere in the bar. We didn't eat here but I have to say that the food we saw looked very good. Really nice pub.

Popped in for the Sunday carvery on a recommendation. Not usually a fan of carveries but was very pleasantly surprised. The pub and dinning room were lovely in a traditional sort of way, the selection of drinks was great, the staff very friendly and the food was way better than anticipated given it was a carvery. It seemed to be... More

Stayed locally in a self catering unit with Daughter and Grandkids. Walked in to town for a drink and crisps with kids as well. Nice atmosphere for time of day. Welcoming staff.

Loved this place. We had dinner and drinks and were welcomed by everyone from the waitress and barstaff to the customers. Excellent live entertainment made our visit even better. Food was wonderful. Charming place full of atmosphere.
