If it's a hearty breakfast you need before you go off to explore the Island you won't be disappointed. Full Scottish was amazing and presented well.

We were brought here on our round-the-Island bus trip and were very pleased to find an excellent menu with friendly Staff providing us with a very tasty meal; we enjoyed the fishcakes in a creamy leek sauce, with rice pudding and pear to follow,.Excellent!

Food was excellent in this pub/restaurant. Good choice with specials changing from day to day. Ate here on 2 evenings, food tried included venison casserole, Thai chicken curry, fish and chips; all excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. On one evening we arrived just after the kitchen closed (8:45pm) but they were able to feed us from a reduced... More

Bit mixed here. Husband loved his fabulous scallops & black pudding, said it was best he'd ever tasted. My dish was a bit bland. Nice upgraded hotel & friendly staff. Good modern menu , def worth a visit

We had an excellent meal in here. The food is straightforward pub-restaurant stuff but exceptionally tasty for that and the staff are very friendly, probably the friendliest on Barra, where there is a tendency for the locals to be stand-offish, sometimes, with non-insular, temporary residents. Try the goat's cheese burger if you would like something out of the ordinary and... More

Well last year we ate here twice and I gave this place 5 stars but returned this year to have the burger but huge price increase from £7.95 to £11.95! Was a bit shocked but all three of us had come especially so we decided to stay and pay. Two of the burgers were lovely but mine was still raw... More

I only decided to visit this restaurant as I had looked at their website and saw that there was something my daughter would eat. However once we had arrived I realised that they had changed the menu and not yet updated the website. All the food was made with a mature pallet in mind, and we were not offered a... More

My husband and I came here twice during our three night stay in Barra for dinner. We didn't have a reservation on either occasion but the staff were lovely and made sure we got a table. The highlight dish for me was the goats cheese burger and sweet potato fries these were yum. Lovely hotel and very good service. Would... More
