My wife and I went to lodeve which is the nearest town to our holiday gite. It was Friday the first full day of our holiday so didn't travel too far. After a walk around the town centre with its narrow roads leading off in all directions including the stunning cathedral we settled at Le Petit Somellier which is on... More

First Lodeve on a Friday in June is not alive. Ok we went for dinner at seven and that is a bit too early for France. Most of the restaurants we aimed for were closed. Le petit Sommelier was not. So...... The service was most friendly and but formal. The entree was good, however the main course was some of... More

4 friends met in Lodeve and we chose this restaurant for it's central position and ease of parking. I chose a particularly filling starter but the others said they would start with mains so I asked that my starter and the 3 other mains came out together. Way to complex, I politely ate slowly hoping for the mains to come... More

Arrived early on a Saturday August evening expecting it to be busy, but not so. It did pick up later on after 8. As with other French restaurants we have visited in the region, the children's menu although limited was fresh & not your frozen ready stuff you get back home. My daughter chose fish in breadcrumbs which was a... More

We drove off the motorway just to find a restaurant in a village and came across this. It is a typical family run business where the service was both excellent and charming. The menu was as one would expect in that it was relatively small but absolutely delicious. We had scallops served in an incredible sauce to start followed by... More

Have visited this family run restaurant on numerous occasions over the last 10 years. It never disappoints whether you visit at lunchtime or in the evening. Service is always pleasant and efficient and the food is lovely with probably the best wine we had all holiday. Great value for money for the set menus ensures we will return on our... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit - excellent food, extremely good local wine (including one of the palest bottles of rosé I think we'd ever come across) and a friendly, relaxing atmosphere. Good value too considering the high standard of food.

I have eaten here various times over the last 3 years and each time the owner has persuaded me to try something new which I have not yet regretted. The foo The location means there is a great opportunity to people watch. It is not as polished as some of the restaurants in nearby Sete or Bezier but the food... More

Stopped here again after 11 years to see if it was as good as we remembered it to be. We were not wrong! The staff were quietly attentive and although it was busy we never felt rushed, the food was delicious both entrees and plats from the menu and the carafe Rose wine which managed to be both light and...
