We had breakfast. At 11 am the chef made a compliment, two glasses of moonshine and a pickled cucumber. I don’t know about anyone, but for me it’s too early. We ordered scrambled eggs with bacon and tomatoes, oatmeal, pancakes with sour cream, and Americano coffee. The bill is 1200₽. Everything was very tasty, except the coffee. Don't order coffee, it's terrible. The restaurant itself is entourage and beautifully presented. I recommend.

It is not possible to pay by card in this establishment

In 2022, we visited this establishment for the first time, we really liked the cuisine, the service, and in 2023 we went to Kislovodsk, including for this establishment. We also visited the Old Yard (the owner is the same), and we also liked everything. But the impression was still very much spoiled by the next moment. There was a terribly unfriendly waitress in Shafran, but you can still put up with that. But when we asked to pay with a card (both in the Old Yard and in Shafran), such a performance began that they say our lights are turned off and the connection is faulty. As a result, I had to do a translation. If you want to save on commissions, then why at my expense? I’m not getting enough cashback, I’m spending my transfer limit, and overall it looks like it’s been done under the counter. Is it possible to pay humanly with a card in 2023? Of course you can, but not in your establishment.

Something from the past at Novikov's price

I don't understand the rave reviews. We came here because we stayed in the house opposite and were hungry from the road. Thick menu with tavern content from the 2000s, everything is not tasty, prices are the same as in the Novikovsky restaurant. In Moscow, in no establishment you will find khinkali for 130 rubles with a cutlet inside. A hungry child didn’t even eat a margarita—it’s hard to imagine. The only tasty thing was the beer. The waitress tried) We definitely won’t go there again.

A place that does not live up to its price tag and rating

I rarely write reviews and only in cases where it is either very good or a failure. The second option happened in saffron. We chose him based on his high rating. As a result, complete disappointment (We took pistols in the mountain style, lamb kebab dzhigitovka, lamb lula, breaded suluguni cheese with sauce, Greek salad and warm eggplant salad. The kebabs are very mediocre, not juicy, no lula at all. Not a bad warm eggplant salad , but why use sweet chili sauce as a dressing?🤷‍♀️usually in other restaurants it is served with pomegranate sauce, which is much more interesting. The price tag for all of the above plus a bottle of dry Georgian red wine Saperavi is a little more than 10 k. and that’s for two persons! !! 🤦‍♀️ Considering the location of this establishment (not in the city center), its unreasonably high price tag, we definitely will not return here. Yes, the sesame bread (which we paid for) and expected freshly baked, as we were promised, was at least two days old , heated in the microwave🥲

Tasty, varied, but there are nuances

The surroundings are appropriate. The menu is varied, but actually something needs to be done with the “menu” book. She looks like she came from the 90s. The dishes are delicious. Interestingly prepared, very interestingly decorated. The service is beyond praise. A hand towel is provided to wipe/clean... I read the reviews. Anything below 5 points is true. This is the "style of the establishment". Drawdown in service and price/quality. I lowered the points for the establishment for reasons similar to those of other visitors: it might give you something unexpected. In my case it was: (a) cooked sausage instead of ham in turkey breast rolls. No, the rolls were good! Delicious. And I'm not against sausage. But somehow this is not serious... (b) Extremely unobtrusive service. There were few people. I don’t think there was enough pressure to make me wait in vain for 20 minutes. A compliment from moonshine with pickled cucumber - fire! Sivukha was sick to the point of hurting his eyes. Perhaps some visitors will be pleased with this, but I was culturally impressed.

The best place in Kislovodsk

The first time I was here was 1.5 years ago. At that time this restaurant was ranked first. What's happened? This is the best restaurant in Kislovodsk!!! The kitchen is absolutely amazing! Everything is delicious - from Ossetian pies (real, melt-in-your-mouth, juicy, which you can’t tear yourself away from), to rays in the city of lamb, “pistolettes” made from rack of lamb melt in your mouth, and this is lamb, not old ram, delicious vegetables. This is all Caucasian cuisine, but imagine our surprise when the tapaka chicken turned out to have a crispy crust, but at the same time juicy, sweet and melting in the mouth, and clearly home-made, not broiler! Quite a decent wine list, which, frankly, is rare for Kislovodsk. And to top it off - fantastic, warm homemade baklava! Only here! P.S. The service is fast, professional and very friendly!!!

Delicious !

During the week of vacation we were in Shafran three or four times. We liked the service and food so much that we returned there) I left a very pleasant impression after this restaurant. The staff is very friendly, the food is very tasty. A frying pan with lamb is a special love! I took this dish twice.

Visit to "Saffron"

Friends praised this establishment very much. We decided to stop by for lunch while walking. Very cozy, excellent service, beautiful, delicious dishes. While we were waiting for our order, they brought us a present from the establishment: an aperitif. The prices are not low, but the ambience, service and taste of the food are excellent! Highly recommended.

The most comfortable restaurant.

Nice establishment. Very atmospheric and comfortable. There are two halls, with and without music, and you can choose a place that is comfortable for any setting to suit your mood. The food is very tasty. The staff is polite and attentive.
