The Queens Head is a popular place and despite being very busy we were found a seat and served promptly. Food is good (gammon and a seafood stew) and very reasonably priced. Add a great selection of ales and beers, local and national, wines etc...More

Been here a few times before. Usually busy, but service is still good. It was busy today, being an unusually hotish October Saturday, but service was excellent as always. A small wait, but food was wonderful. Prices quite reasonable too. We sat outside and looked...More

Some places are worth a repeat review and the Queens Head is such a place. Even on wet overcast evening the Queens had a healthy level of custom and it is quite easy to see why. The food is excellent with a very good selection...More

This time came with 3 generations for a midweek lunch. Booked ahead (good job!) and all calls received by friendly helpful staff. Our very slow moving Granny was dropped off whilst son nipped the car back up the High Street to park. Returned to find...More

Eaten here a few times now. No complaints so far. The fish and chips is always good, although today I wished I'd gone for my wife's slow cooked beef, as it looked delicious. The food is always brought out quickly and there's usually not a...More

Great pub with fantastic views across the river. I couldn't give five stars as the old woman with glasses serving behind the counter made me feel most unwelcome when I didn't know the table number where I was sitting. I told her I was sitting...More

We ate here in the evening and next day for lunch. I couldn't fault the food and service. It's a busy place on the Hythe, the traditional portside hub of Maldon, near the promonade park, the huge Thames barges and the small craft visitor pontoon....More

This is a legal question, so I suggest googling to find out the law on the employment of young people in premises serving alcohol.

Sorry we don't do a cooked breakfast at the moment. We do run our full menu from 11am every day if that is of any use

Dogs are allowed in both bars which also serve food. Not in the restaurant away from the bars.

The best pub venue in Maldon, set on the Blackwater river.Thames barges aline the quayside. Large patio area, with seating for over 100 people. Over looked by Maldon St Marys Church. A wonderful setting on the quay, a fantastic old working dock fo yesteryear.
