Visited here last Friday evening with family. We ordered from the Special menu £45 for Starters, Mains, Side, Sauce and a drink. The steak was beautiful, cooked to perfection in a lovely setting. Wife.and I got the chocolate cake between us as we were both stuffed from starters and main. 2 adults and 1 child bill was £61.00. Would highly... More

Tried the Bronte on Sunday for the first time and was less than impressed, long wait, average service & awful food! Food was semi-warm & small portions I ordered a roast dinner ..... would of been safer buying a microwaveable one from the shop as it would of been warmer & bigger & taste better! Lump of turkey, a spoonful... More

We had a relaxed and pleasant evening. Food was very good. Service, friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. Friday 'steak night' meal deal was a pleasant surprise. Possibly still lacking some of the warmth and atmosphere from years gone by, but definitely a place well worth traveling to. We will be back.

Visited here with my husband on a Friday night, had been meaning to do this for a while. I hadn't been to the Bronte for about 15 years, not sure if much has changed really, some new carpet perhaps? We entered and were sat in the lounge area with menus to peruse, and waited until our order was taken and... More

When for family birthday and for a Friday day evening not busy. The ones that got the steaks were cooked as per request. Slight mess up on one of the kids orders. However the chips and garlic cubes were the worst I ever had grease city and the oil they used was pure gut wrenching. This was to the fore... More

Ate here on New Year's Day. Staff were very welcoming and knowledgable about the menu particularly regarding gluten free options. I want for crab boats to start which were very nice. The menu was varied but does focus on steak naturally. The steaks are all locally sourced. I went for fillet medium rare, partner went for salmon. Son in law... More

Went one evening last week for an evening meal. A young male gave us menus, got us drinks, no enthusiasm and went back to the bar, rested up against the till, crossed his arms and started biting at his fingers, yawning and rubbing eyes. Yes i understand sometimes when quiet theres not much to do or when being on a... More

made a spur of the moment booking mid week, no problem getting a table early-but place started filling up quickly, so early booking probably advisable. Mrs went for the Xmas menu, trio of seafood, excellent; I had the 16oz T bone...........first class, cooked to perfection........told the chef the bone was a little hard, otherwise I'd have eaten that too. Friendly attentive... More

Location a little difficult to find but well worth the effort.Family party of six adults.Varied starters, mains, desserts were ordered and everyone was more than pleased with the quality and quantity of the food. Staff were charming and nothing was to much bother.Have already recommended it to our friends and we will certainly be back dining again.Premises were spotlessly clean... More
