l was never fond of Japanese food, went there for my gf that loves Japanese food. The place and staffs looked ordinary and you have to wait for a while for the food to be served. With some green tea and chat, the time pass by quickly nevertheless.
The first sign was when a Japanese family came in and seated at the table next to mine. Well, l'm sure we have been to plenty Japanese food chains or restaurants, but rarely you see Japanese inside eating those food. But there they were, seating right beside my table and chatting in Japanese. Real Japanese, l think, so first score. You know they are very particular with everything.
l ordered a saba miso set and my gf a ramen maki set. She is a Japanese food lover so her comment must be fair. She commented the ramen was good, soup was just nice, and the deep fried tuna roll - fried but surprisingly not oily. The portion was big so l finished almost half the tuna roll for her. mind you l never like Japanese roll.
My only comment was they give fresh watermelon for the set, which normally you'll serve to your own family at home. Some more pricey Japanese restaurant l went they would serve you any edible fruits for dessert. My gf was very happy so l left some tip for them, as encouragement for this excellent food and very reasonable price.
