You visit here for the warmth and friendliness of the host Elton and staff as much as for great food and coffee. Food is excellent quality and value and the portions at breakfast will keep you going all day

A friend and I called in for brunch. The coffee was great, and the ambience of the place was even better. The walls are lined in old LP covers, even the menu was on the back of an LP cover. The menu was comprehensive and the cabinet food looked great. I ordered corn fritters with a salsa and bacon, but... More

The food (once served) was very good, as was the service. My only criticism was when the waitress came to take our order when we had just ordered 5 mins previously at the counter. I loved the albums on the wall and the back room as well. Unfortunately one of the back cushions for the bench seats fell off the... More

This Cafe is unique and has its own style. To my knowledge the cake we had this later afternoon with our coffee was home made. The decoration is different you cannot fund all the walls decorated with extremely old photos I thinking from the 19 50 if bit earlier. Service is prompt and friendly. It's located in the heart of... Loved this place, great atmosphere and very nice staff. The decor is amazing, you could spend quite a while just looking at all the stuff on the walls and the toilet!! The food was delicious and some of the best we have had in cafes in this area. The coffee not as good as some places we have been but... More

Stopped here on the way to Rotorua. Staff were exceptional, so friendly and welcoming. We only had coffee and egg and bacon butties and they were quite nice but cannot comment on their other food although it all looked very nice.

Popped in here on the first day of a trip round NZ. Delicious (and huge!) iced chocolate and great cake. Atmosphere was welcoming and staff were lovely. They even took the time to point out places we should visit on our travels.
