We stayed at the Painted Boat on the long weekend of August 2016. We ate at the restaurant twice. Both times they were able to accommodate my wife's dietary restrictions with no problems. The food was great. Even our one year old who's a picky eater loved the food. Highly recommended!

In elegant resort surroundings, the restaurant has a refined casual atmosphere. The view of the ocean and marina fit perfectly with the menu, where local seafood is among the choices. We were two couples, winding up several days exploring the Sunshine Coast by car, ready to relax over dinner. Seated basically outside on a warm summer evening, a Pisco Sour... More

The painted boat is a beautiful place to stay. I surprised my husband on his birthday to stay overnight and was very happy with our room (suite). Book a massage and take advantage to the spa. Dont forget to pack your bevvys! Enjoy :)

To my delight I discovered a very special time of year to be dining at the Painted Boat Restaurant. The first night I was treated to a chef's choice, a variety of selections for 4 courses. Each course would have satisfied me if they allowed. The next night, in honour of the local mushroom festival, the chef went "wild" and... More

The Painted Boat has a lovely view from the restaurant. I would not recommend this place for anyone with mobility issues though. The parking is located a 3-minute walk away with stairs, so there's a drop-off area, but the drop-off area is really awkward if you have a wheelchair or if you can barely walk. I say this because there... More

The Painted Boat has the best deck in town. It's a wonderful place to enjoy a late afternoon cocktail from their unique drink menu. Add the and order of chicken wings and the avocado tar-tar and you are in paradise!

First the good news: The food was pretty good and our waitress (Christine) was very helpful under difficult circumstances. Now the bad news: We had to wait over an hour between our appertizers and entrees! In the end we were offered our food as complimentary. Turns out that due to short staffing they were trying to run this medium size... More

Seafood bouillabaisse was perfect. Right on the water. Patio was closed but still a view at every window table. Lots of seafood dishes. Great service.

Really enjoyed our supper last night - all four of us including two teens. Great mussels, prawns, salmon and halibut... wonderful view and really great service. Thanks so much!
