Went in looking for a fish meal but apparently the fish can't make it that far up the hill. No menu as such but waiter was sure that my veggie wife would not be disappointed, he was spot on. Usual lovely dips, big bowl of feta salad, cous cous, and some lovely grilled halloumi, I had the best stifado so... More

Here with friends staying in a villa. This tavern was busy friendly and food was plentiful. We bought 2 mezze between 4 and we had loads. Great value.

No frllls. No menu (unless you stand up and read the one on the wall). Great family cooked traditional Greek Food. Portions are very generous and this place is great value for money.

Last minute decision on our way back to our apartment and I can honestly say what a good decision we made. Limited menu but the quality of the dishes we had were stunning. Service was good, salad couscous dips and bread are automatically given and these were all gorgeous then main meal of your choice which again was stunning but... More

Just got back from Peiya Tevern. It was disgusting. We left most of it and I threw everything back up. Probably best as God knows how ill I'd be. Had the meze. The salad, humous and tzatziki were very acidic. The meatballs a lot of herbs, the beef stew a lot of cinnamon. Like it was trying to cover something.... More

Have been coming to Peyia tavern for years, and was excited to take my family for the first time, as the food is usually fantastic, but what a let down, burnt food, tasteless meats and all fatty, what a shame as I have normally never had a bad meal here before!! Maybe with it been out of tourist season, but... More

Lovely little tavern serving local delicious food. They had high chair for our 18 month old and made us feel welcome. We had the mezze which was a lot of food!

Description
“Peyia Tavern” is a family restaurant and is highly recommended, here you will have the opportunity to sample the “Traditional Special Meat Meze”, great dish for the meat lovers. The meat is cooked in the traditional Cypriot way (on the charcoal). The Special Meze is served one dish at a time by the Taverna staff which are family members. Be careful not to over face yourself with the bread, salad, dips and pourgouri (traditional couscous) which is served as an appetiser prior to the meat dishes. Also the taverna serves traditional dishes like "Halloumi", "Sieftalia" and "Stifado".
