Had lunch today with a friend. We arrived at 12 noon. The service was great. Friendly staff and the food was excellent. The cheesecake was to die for. Would thoroughly recommend the Railway Inn to everyone.

Started off trying to order a glass of red wine at the bar, finally the barman stopped telling me to look at a none existent wine menu and showed me the actual eine bottle. Sat waiting for menus and were eventually given menus by a "lad" dressed as though he had just come from a football or rugby match. Call... More

Great staff, great food, cooked to perfection, thoroughly enjoyed our roast dinner, friendly environment, could not fault this restaurant, definitely will be returning again and definitely would recommend to anyone as probably one of the best places to eat in congleton. We have had a couple of meals in this restaurant and they have always been delicious. We highly recommend... More

Having an enjoyable time watching the rugby, in fairness spending a reasonable amount of money. Ordered some jagerbombs and the landlady refused, saying she didn't serve them. There was jagermiester behind the bar yet she refused to pour it. I feel this was very short sighted as me and the group I was with would have spent a lot of... More

Then later we asked for a second drink only to watch a table order drinks after us get them before us, getting very annoyed by now. Asked where are drinks were as the table ordered after us, drinks came. my partner ordered a... More

You just wouldn't expect to find such a gem in such a mundane suburban spot. The food, choice, value and service were all excellent.

First time we have ate out on Christmas Day and tbh it was very poor, for a meal that was priced at £60 per adult and £30 per child it was shocking. Had to wait for about 20-30 mins before getting sat down when we did the table wasn't even made up. Had to go to the bar and order... More

Took my family who are visiting from Sweden today, the welcome was warm and friendly, the food was excellent, especially the beer battered fish and chips! Will be coming again on their next visit.
