Friendly welcome and good service throughout visit. Good selection of real ale which was a big bonus. Food menu very good with several supporting specials on board. Food was spot on and substantial enough for most people. Can recommend the chicken and ham pie (special), which came with fresh veg and mash. Highly recommend this for a lunchtime meal after... I have recently moved to Bosham and had been looking forward to visiting this much talked about village pub. I have now been twice: once for drinks only and a second time for an evening meal. On my first visit for drinks only, service was poor. I was patiently waiting at the bar and then a gentlemen sidled up alongside... More

Live locally second time I've sat in the pub with my coat on ! Beautiful open fire that's not on again ! Tonight the whole pub sat in our coats as it was so cold ! To be told by the staff "it's on my list of things to do " I'll get you a blanket " RUDE !! Don't... More

We visited on a very busy Friday night and the place was buzzing. The staff despite being very busy were helpful and friendly. Young staff with plenty of energy. A traditional pub with no pretensions of being a gastropub and all the better for that. We sat in the upstairs restaurant area that was very comfortable and cosy. Good unpretentious... More

We stopped here , having read reviews and we weren't disappointed at all. The food was very tasty , there 's good beer and the staff are friendly. In response to the toilet comment made by another reviewer, I did use the toilet which was very clean so I assume it all depends on the staff working there and the... More

This is a neighborhood pub that gets extra traffic when there are events at nearby Goodwood. The staff coped well with the pressure, and the food was tasty, more so than one might expect from a pub that is not a gastropub.

Food was fine, but I wonder how clean is the kitchen in an establishment that doesn't care about having a dirty toilet even after being advised of the problem (twice)?

Last time two of us ent and were impressed. We went as a group of 9 this time. We were put upstairs; fine in the summer when you can see the sea but in February, no fire, no candles no atmosphere and slightly chilly. Food OK but chips cold and not crisp. Disappointed - they can do better than this.

This is a popular pub for lunch, so do make a reservation. Upstairs by the window has the best view across the bay. This is a tiny pub, with a big heart. It's run by young helpful staff. We had the chicken and ham pie, served with hot new potatoes and a side salad. It was delicious. We then had... More
