Went in for a lunchtime drink and succumbed for lunch, and wasn't disappointed. Menu was clear, simple and unpretentious. Food was well presented, well cooked, and value for money. Staff were welcoming, accommodating and efficient. I would recommend the Half Pound Steak-burger. Great sun trap sitting outside...

Great place to eat when walking the hills around Whiteleaf and Cadsden especially since the worldwide fame of the latter and the globalisation of it's eatery has diminished that experience. Good simple menu well cooked quickly served and hounds welcome. Probably the best burger I have had in the last year and very reasonably priced. We will definitely go back.

We went for a Xmas lunch and the food and service were brilliant. The staff were very accommodating and checked we were happy, service came with a chat and smile and I ate everything I was given...and was very full at the end. My starter was beautifully presented, the steak was generous and as I had asked it to be... More

Amazing home cooked food here. I've been multiple times and always am welcomed by the owners and staff specially Sarah!!! Tuesday night has an amazing steak offer including two steaks and a bottle of wine. Lovely old country pub with lots of character.

A good old English Pub serving a standard menu. The pub also has B&B rooms. A fantastic array of gins but only 1 malt scotch. Food was OK I had beef which was well under cooked and was sent back but friends had lamb shanks which looked mouth watering.

Our Sunday lunch was ok but the waitress seemed so nervous and inexperienced that it made us nervous to ask her anything !!! We asked her a question, she went off to get the answer and then came back and stood at the table with her pad .. we had to ask what the answer was ! Sunday roast was... More

Traditional pub in a lovely setting. The night we went was not that busy but we were given a small table for four, even though we had reservation, which seemed strange as there were better tables free. Food was ok but service only average. Perhaps we just found them on an off day.

Coming from the States I was visiting a colleague and friend of mine in the London area when we stopped at the Red Line for dinner (she obviously knew the place, and spoke highly about it) However after the amazing hospitality - we were served the ultimately best steak I have had in ages! Everything from the people, dining area,... More
