Have been here quite a few times over the years - what with Edale being a good train-accessible base for hikes and expeditions! This time was after a gruelling walk so beer was in order. Black Sheep on tap at £3.75 a pint, which is more than I'd pay for other pubs around the Peaks, but the atmosphere makes up... More

Superb pub! Cosy, friendly, great beer selection and good pub grub, especially the locally sourced sausage menu! Get some!

Visited after Blue John Cavern, which is five minutes drive away. Lovely pub lunch - food arrived quickly but hard to find a member of staff at the bar to take a drinks order. Beautiful open fires add to a great atmosphere.

Loved this pub. Warm and relaxing and perfect after a four mile walk with our nine year old. He was in need of chips we were in need of wine and beer! Lovely atmosphere and welcoming staff. A true British pub 🍷🍻

Visited with 2 small kids. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food was great. Sausage pick n mix was fab. Home cooked. Puddings were delicious! Muddy boots not an issue.

Nice pub, nice setting, food was dreadful. Overcooked, very likely warmed through in a microwave. Would never go back to eat.

This pub looked inviting from the outside, food also looked great. We were going to eat in there but the bar man was so unwelcoming we decided not to bother. The locals were also unfriendly on Wednesday night. Shame

Thank Naomi B
