This place could be so much better....drinks prices are extortionate and majority of the staff are rude and ignore you - no decent customer service! Not eaten here, so cannot comment on that, but based on my previous experiences, I wouldn't bother. Just get the feeling they don't care....

Nice welcoming pub after a tough and cold hike. Enjoyed a hearty chili con carne and a pint of cider. Service was nice and the atmosphere warm.

The Rambler Inn was a welcome sight after a six mile walk over Kinder. The pub is welcoming to walkers. The food was good. I had the beef cobbler, where the meat was very tender, although the dumplings were a little dry. The chicken and mushroom pie was good, although maybe the pastry a little too thick. They served black... More

Our group had arranged a winter catchup here, the pub website obviously stating the full menu is served throughout the week. It was my birthday yesterday but I'd not been able to have a meal then so I was planning on having a good meal here tonight to celebrate. We arrived to find the full menu/specials board wasn't available, instead... More

One of my best pub lunches in a while. A really extensive and well-cooked meal and very friendly service. My duo of pheasant was superb and was perfectly accompanied by puréed veg and buttery bubble and squeak. So much better than the usual pub sides of soggy roast potatoes and watery veg. A nice range of beer and a feeling... More

Cosy with log fires. Nice outdoor garden space. Friendly staff. Good darts board. The other pub at the other side of Edale has better food but this place has a better selection of drinks.

Our visit was in November mid-week so the pub wan not very full. we sat by a nice coal / wood fire and are dinner while enjoying some evening drinks.
