Bought a few dishes/ salted fish bean sprout- good/ sizzling bean-cured- good- /signature fresh ed rice-good la…. No dine in but food fresh cooked and tasty… for my lical wife snd friends as well… this was a quick escape to baling( not much open) but we grabbed our food and found a spot near the hills having an impromptu picnic… day turned out great:)

We were looking for restaurant for dinner before going to hot spring. Found this restaurant in tripadvisor. Called to the restaurant to check on the availability. Very ez to find.
This is an old Chinese restaurant now running by 3rd generation. Food are delicious .The restaurant just renovated 8 months ago. The environment is clear. Price also reasonable.
Just the address showed in goggles map is not correct.

Meal is always fabulous. Atmosphere is family friendly. Diners must try their specialty, Peking Duck. It is very satisfying, scrumptious and smells good.

My better half and I together with our friends had lunch in this Chinese restaurant in the small town of Baling after hiking down from Gunung Baling. It is located right in the centre of the town. Apparently, it is a very well-known restaurant in this town as it was started by the father of the present proprietor 60 years ago, in 1957. It is a pork-free restaurant.
The restaurant has been renovated recently. It is very clean, comfortable and well-ventilated with fans on its high ceiling. The restaurant has been given an "A" rating by the local health authorities for its cleanliness. Its walls are decorated with old photos, vinyl records, cups, glasses, pots and kettles used decades ago. I believe some of the chairs and tables are just as old.
We ordered their signature dishes as recommended by the friendly proprietress and we were definitely not disappointed. We had deep fried duck, deep-fried crispy bean curd kelabu, fish head curry, assam fried prawns, hotplate Japanese tofu, stir-fried bitter gourd, fried sambal kangkung and fried chicken wings. All the dishes were delicious and had the authentic home-cooked taste which is something quite difficult to find nowadays where everything is fast-cooked and commercialized.
When the bill came, we were happy that it was a very reasonable amount to pay for the quality and amount of food served. We would be happy to patronize this restaurant again when we are in this town. It is open for lunch and dinner. Highly recommendable to visitors to Baling.
