My husband and I were looking for somewhere different to eat. We had been to this pub/restaurant a few years ago and it is was nice then, however this particular occasion we were VERY disappointed. The service was good but the food was the worst ever. From dried out buns to too many $'s for little food, we were sorely... More

Worst chicken pie ever, beef dip so much bun and a thin slice of tasteless roast beef! Shepard's pie just awful! Used to be our favorite pub to go to! Management needs to hire new chefs! Servers are friendly, beer is good. Won't be going back to eat anytime soon.

We had planned to go Italian but the restaurant we wanted was closed for vacation; so we decided to try St.James's Well. We are glad we did. While a typical pub in appearance ~ the menu was a bit different than you typically get. The staff were efficient and friendly. The portions were good, and the taste was delicious. Wine... More

St. James is a real actual pub. The kind of place you go with your mates after a long day or with your girls for a chill fun night. The servers are great and attentive despite being busy. The prices are excellent and you get much more bang for your buck. Irish beer for less than 6 bucks? And the... More

St. James was good many yrs ago, then they changed chef and the menu. Not for the better. So we stayed away. Now we tried it again after our hike. And it went from bad to worse, we had 2 pcs of fish, at $16.99 and a terrible chicken pie at $16.99 not cheap for a lunch. Fish batter very greasy,... More

Used to be good, what happened!? What is still billed on the menu as "Irish soda bread scone" is now a plain English muffin, and what used to be real potatoes are now frozen powdered mush. What a disappointing decline for what used to be a reliable neighbourhood spot. If you're looking for real food and honest ingredient labeling, go... More

We had not been there a while and dropped by and surprised to see the place very empty. Now we know why. The Beef Dip had more bread than anything, The Chicken Pot Pie was tasty but very dry. The Green Eggs were good. Service was acceptable.

Stopped by for a few beers after Brunch on Father's Day and watched most of the US Open Final Day. Great service, wonderful people...Didn't eat there but have in the past and love the food. Definite Fun place to visit.

Haven't been to the well for a couple of years. We went tonight and we were really disappointed in the yorkies. They were always my favorite. No longer is it served with aujus . It's now served with a heavy gravy. They do seem to put more beef I'm it but not enough of the horseradish sauce that goes on... More
