Upon arrival in Port Moody we met our son and his wife here for lunch. The pub is located in a mixed redidential/retail complex. Free parking is available either outdoors or in a nearby underground garage. Decor was "Irish Pubby" with a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. The menu was extensive and a good variety of beers... More

Considering a " wee breakfast" as advertised in the menu online, is one egg, bacon/sausage, has browns, a fresh baked scone and warm compote and costs $8.00, their so called buffet brunch on New Year's Day Jan 1 2017, was a total rip off for $15.00 per person! On offer: scrambled eggs, poached eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and grapes.... More

Have been here quite a few times for a drink and have tried the food three times. I really enjoy the atmosphere and the people are very friendly. The pub itself very charming, quaint and reminds me of the British Isles! But....three times unlucky with food. Last night our burgers were not good at all. Will continue to visit for... More

We stopped by for dinner and a beer on Boxing Day. The place was about half full, but rather noisy. We ordered our dinner (2 pieces of fish and chips...........not enough for 2 people), which was served promptly and tasted good. However, they decided to put whatever game was on TV over the speakers and conversation immediately became impossible. We... More

The group wanted delicious food and a fun atmosphere and the St. James hit the nail on the head. Friendly staff, accommodating for allergies, and the food was soooo delicious. May travel here again just so I can enjoy another delicious dinner, would be worth the trip.

Fun night out - great drinks, awesome music great local spot. Causal night spot that has the charm of an Irish pub where us locals hang out!

My husband and I were looking for somewhere different to eat. We had been to this pub/restaurant a few years ago and it is was nice then, however this particular occasion we were VERY disappointed. The service was good but the food was the worst ever. From dried out buns to too many $'s for little food, we were sorely... More

Worst chicken pie ever, beef dip so much bun and a thin slice of tasteless roast beef! Shepard's pie just awful! Used to be our favorite pub to go to! Management needs to hire new chefs! Servers are friendly, beer is good. Won't be going back to eat anytime soon.

We had planned to go Italian but the restaurant we wanted was closed for vacation; so we decided to try St.James's Well. We are glad we did. While a typical pub in appearance ~ the menu was a bit different than you typically get. The staff were efficient and friendly. The portions were good, and the taste was delicious. Wine... More

St. James is a real actual pub. The kind of place you go with your mates after a long day or with your girls for a chill fun night. The servers are great and attentive despite being busy. The prices are excellent and you get much more bang for your buck. Irish beer for less than 6 bucks? And the... More
